Oh Man our Special Teams are going to be so good..

WOW!!

We might legitimately have one of the best special teams in the league this year. Gano is a weapon on both field goals and kickoffs, Nortman is getting better each year, JJ Jansen is one of the best long snappers in the league, Ted Ginn is a fantastic return guy, and now we have gunners up the wazoo.

We lost games last year due to special teams... this year we might win games because of them. Props to Gettleman.

Am I the only one sensing sarcasm?

If it is sarcasm, it's also lack of knowledge.

Better field position (for both sides of the ball) matters more than some folks understand.

San Diego just a few years ago had literally the best offense and defense in the league but still lost games on ridiculously bad special teams play.

    • It depends on what version of bad we are getting. Can't have the locker room tearing apart over it.
    • I think that depends more on how high our pick is. If we have the 1st, 2nd or even 3rd pick i think we are drafting a QB rather than shopping FA market for a QB1. Curious if we’d be reluctant to start a rookie QB week 1 though.
    • Hurney 2.0 and Fitts were so bad I don't know if it was intentional or they were that abysmally clueless. Fittershits panicked repeatedly being on the back end of positional runs while Hurney couldn't evaluate anyone outside of the 1st.  I can't figure out why Plummer still has a jersey. There's no reason. Dalton brings nothing to the table. If another QB gets cut that has given a glimmer of anything better than what we have, we should look, and that goes for every position.  I cant get over how much different this team could have been with a competent GM and having accepted the Rams offer for Burns. This franchise could have gone in a totally different direction.
