How comically bad Bersin was kinda takes some attention away from how simply and unspectacular we just sucked in the other phases too IMO

We've signed 'special teams aces' before who were supposed to help us. Colin Jones, Mike Tolbert, a bunch of LBs, etc etc. They never really help, because we haven't really had good ST coords. I think we do now.

Steelers game, Vikings, Bengals are all games where our special teams were just awful that impacted the game where we could have won. Now, instead of 7-8-1, we could have potentially been 10-6. Special teams is a very overlooked aspect of the game.

but without terrible ST's play we wouldn't have gotten the oops-the-ball-is -still-live-God-felt-sorry-for-us punt return TD.

We got Ginn. I rooted for Bersin, but why didn't someone tell him that he didn't have to take a knee on a fair catch? Our ST coach is the problem, not the players.
