Don't know the whole story, but from what I understand, it was multiple players and coaches as well.  Incognito was just the main instigator.

Can't speak for him, but I don't think Martin's that good.

With that said though, this is legitimately a signing with zero risk, so why not?

If he stinks, no big deal. If he's actually worth something, cool.

I understand he either is or may not be "that good" a player.

But since he's a player that can be CUT without owing him a damn dime if he is, indeed, not "that good", how can this be in any way construed as a "bad signing"?
