See this is what I don't get about the cheddar bo's. There not new, just limited to Eastern NC for all I know. I remember when I went to a Bonjales in Greensboro when I went to school (around 2007), I was shocked how different they were. No cheddar bo, instead of just combos now they have combos and diners, and they had mac and cheese an item we don't got here in the east. It was like a culture shock man. 

 

i've heard rumors that the cheddar bo was created by some ECU students and bo bought the recipe or something. They are test running them in only certain areas to see if they will add it to the menu permanently. Not sure if this genesis is true or not but it was interesting. The ones in Asheville are fuging amazing.

Ive given bojangles too many shots these past couple of years. Paintballr outlined how it went downhill perfectly. They fuged the chicken recipe, it just doesn't have that Cajun kick like it used to.

Its a common occurance. Fries are literally 60% air. I bite into it and can look down into the fry.

Certain stores can sell there own personal items. When I worked there I took two regular raw biscuits. Fried them added cinnamon sugar icing and regular icing. It was like a doughnut and we sold a couple. Just depends if the manager wants to put it on the menu

Bojangle's main problem is that the quality of their product varies so greatly from store to store.

 

The uptown one and the new one in matthews are divine.

 

Many MANY of them have terrible quality control, especially ones in not-great socioeconomic areas.  Soggy biscuits, soggy fries, burned chicken, etc.

 

They've got some kinks to work out.

 

i've noticed that as well. i see that happening with quite a few franchises, but for some reason it's more apparent with bojangles. i just try and avoid certain ones. the trick is finding which ones to avoid.

 

they do need some tighter quality control, but i'm not sure how much independence each franchise has.

I got that same email today and thought about buying some. Need to find out when the IPO will be done because you usually can get a quick and decent return being in the IPO and then selling within the first week

I do have to admit though... I like Popeye's chicken better. There I said it.

But Bojangles has really good sides like the dirty rice and mac and cheese anD their fries (Fug you The Huddler ).
