Curious as to why no Strong pre-draft visit.

For what it's worth last off-season Coach Proehl traveled the country and worked out the best receivers while documenting the entire thing on Twitter as to where he was. He started doing the same thing this year but abruptly stopped after a week or two. I am wondering if the Panthers requested he stop.

panthers did work out star if i remember correctly, Coach Washington did in Utah. Maybe Ricky did Jalen as well. he did not tweet out his country wide tour like he did last year, but i read he was at washington st a couple of weeks ago.

Strong is an athletic wide receiver who needs to learn better fundamentals. He does have great size and speed. Qualities you can't coach that much. Struggles with concentration. Where have we heard this before. He is the type of receiver we would love to have in the second if we go a different direction in the first than receiver. The problem is whether you are looking for a guy with a high ceiling who needs work or you want a guy with a higher floor but potentially a lower ceiling. If there is a run on wide receivers in the first I could see guys like Strong move up particularly with teams who can draft a guy and let him develop instead of being thrust into a starting role.

They might be higher on Parker, and if he's not there they might look to the 2nd round for a receiver. Might not be interested in Strong, but you never know. They didn't seem like they was that high on KB last year.

I like Strong but here are more options. if he is there in 2nd it would be a good pick. Some were talking about him in the first but I think that would be a reach.

I was a fan of strong until I read this yesterday. Now I don't know if I want the Panthers drafting him.

Cian does really good write ups on X's and O's. he wrote one up on how Carolina had a very bad game plan vs. the vikings last season. he includes gifs and still pics to help support his writings. he is really good.

 

every person that writes on bleacher is not bad. bleacher has improved a  lot over the years, and they have actually hired some real writers.
