Sharper to face "Penile Monitoring"

Pretty comprehensive article on just what is wrong with Sharper.  And,  From the "learn something new every day department":

During his first three to five years of freedom, California officials will track him by GPS.

He’ll undergo sex offender treatment for years.

He can’t drink alcohol for the rest of his life or go to bars or liquor stores. He can’t visit sex shops or chat on the Internet to get a date.

If he wants to spend the night away from home or travel more than 50 miles, state officials must approve it.

Sharper will be subject to lie detector tests and, while on lifetime probation in Arizona, to the “penile plethysmograph,” in which a sensor is attached to the penis while an array of sexual images flashes before his eyes, to gauge arousal.

Restrictions on where he can live, move or travel, and with whom he can spend time, are designed to limit Sharper’s opportunities to commit the crimes with which authorities charged him, experts say. According to the deal, one of the tools authorities could use is the penile plethysmograph, or PPG.

Commonly, rubber rings are placed around the penis to measure swelling in response to seeing certain pictures. Offenders might be shown depictions of both consensual and nonconsensual sex to compare the reactions and get a reading on whether rape arouses the subject, according to a 2012 research study.

Just how county probation departments in Arizona use such findings was unclear.

    • Reveal- Until three weeks before his draft, I wanted Simmons >> Brown. I hate to say I didn't see his greatest flaw the first time, upon reviewing more clips and lucky listening to better scout. Simmons was shown not to enjoy contact/hitting. WHich is crazy given he played a joker type of LB and had tons of tacks and big plays. But it was there hidden in the slow mo and people that played the game, he didn't enjoy hitting. Given that's a huge part of defenders job, I dropped him from want/need list and lucky for everyone dbrown was there to be picked.  Seems he's found a role or lane he's comfy in and willing to do and it does fit him once you disregard his draft status. Who knows, he maybe the NB for evero this year. He can still become a legit starter.
    • Joly has the one thing our current TE groups does not, really, really good hands.  Tremble has gotten better at catching, but will never have 'natural' hands.  Evans is a blocking TE that has okay hands. A passing game threat is what we thought we were getting when drafting Sanders, but have found out otherwise.  With all the TEs we have drafted over the recent years, none of them have been considered a true weapon.  That needs to change. Blocking TEs are a dime a dozen and can be had on the cheap.  The miscalculation of the front office, folly if you will, is the idea of the Swiss Army knife TE, the guy that can do everything.  It takes a real gem to find a TE that does everything and do it well, so our jack of all trades ends up elite at nothing especially the one area where we (the fans) think the weak link is--a receiving threat.
