Sharper to face "Penile Monitoring"

It doesn't matter what he did. If he serves his sentencing he deserves the same constitutional rights as you and I. That includes drinking alcohol whenever he damn well pleases and the 4th amendment. Last I checked it doesn't have an asterisks anywhere saying "excluding convicts*. Now, while in custody he's subject to the loss of certain freedoms, which is the whole idea behind incarceration.

It doesn't matter hat he did...riiiiiight

This is part of his punishment, and yes, he's getting off easy.

You wanna tell me it's unfair that he had to register and be tracked as a sex offender too?

Go tell some of your female friends and relatives how unfair the law is being to Darren Sharper and let me know he it goes.

rights of females to be safe from serial predators >>>>>>>>>>>>>> serial predator's rights.

not all people should be treated equally.

would not his right to drink alcohol be taken away while in custody? if he doesn't want to spend his life in jail, it seems reasonable, imo, to be forced to abstain from alcohol and be forced to wear a monitor on his dick. i mean, after all, he is a serial rapist. dude shouldn't even have his dick attached to his body anymore. he shouldn't ever see the outside of a prison. even with these "harsh and unreasonable" measures he would have to endure he's getting off light compared to what most serial rapists would get. i think most fathers of girls would say rather he be dead or at least penis-less and nowhere near the general populace.

I disagree. You should NEVER substitute safety in favor of liberty. Never.

well then open up the prisons and set them all free! screw the safety of law abiding citizens. serial rapists, murderers, and child molesters all have rights!

You're speaking in generalities, and I agree in cases like 'omg terrorists are somewhere, so we're tapping all the phones.' In this instance, it is the safety of the general public in exchange for the liberty of a known, quantified threat, and this approach actually gives more liberty to the convicted than just keeping them in jail.

Pretty sad what money can buy IMO.

Most guys would be locked up.

Since he has money, he can live free with the burden of a dick detector test only...better than being locked up I guess!

Yep, because it means less time with Big Bubba aka "the horse" as your cell mate

lmfao I bet you think you're being a libertarian when you're really just embarrassing yourself.

Actually, I don't associate myself with any party. They are all corrupt. I do not agree with life long sustained impeachment of rights. Even for convicts. After a convict serves his or her time they can do whatever they damn well please within the context of the law.

When hard right wing and left wing supporters agree on the same fact, you should probably reconsider your dissenting view.

    • Link to article Seven players mentioned are... ILB Mark Robinson (PIT) - 2022 seventh round pick that was a core special teams player and was productive in the final preseason game vs. CAR (3 TKLs, 1 FF, 1 FR). Undersized at 5'11" 235 lbs.  CB O'Donnell Fortune (NYG) - UDFA rookie out of South Carolina (and a Sumter native). 6'1", 185lbs frame fits the Panthers' preference for long and lanky CBs. Panthers' evaluators got a lot of time with him during the Shrine Bowl, his pro day, and the combine. CB Damarri Mathis (DEN) - 2022 fourth-round pick that played for Evero his rookie season at 5'11" 195lbs both inside and outside. Did well under Evero (16 games, 11 starts, 65 TKLs, 7 PBUs) but slid down the depth chart after he left. Started just seven of 27 games the last two seasons. DB Dean Clark (NYJ) - Fresno State UDFA with good size (6'1" 205lbs) and preseason production (5 TKLs, 1 INT, 2 PBUs) that can also play special teams. The Panthers have claimed a player from the Jets in each of the past two seasons (having also played the Jets both times in preseason though). OLB Brennan Jackson (LAR) - 2024 fifth-rounder that notched three sacks in the preseason. Played special teams and rotated in on defense that could potentially be an upgrade from DJ Johnson. DB Beau Brade (BAL) - 2024 UDFA that appeared in 11 games and played 70% of the special teams snaps. Has the size (6'0" 209lbs) that the team covets at safety. K Ben Sauls (PIT) - 24yrs old and went four-for-four against Carolina in preseason. Made 21 of 24 FGs during his final college season at Pitt.
