Andrus Peat

Mr. Scot

Question though: If he's got good balance, why does it seem like he gets knocked down - or just falls down -a lot when I watch clips of him?

West Coast Turf Monsters. The football fields out there are rife with them. Generally believed that Jim Harbaugh got them riled up. Things should be settling down any time now, but I'd be nervous about playing in or around Ann Arbor.

If I'm going OT in the 1st it's either Andrus Peat who has some work to do, but could become one of the better LT's in football or Ereck Flowers who I think will always be a RT but will be a monster and create massive holes for our running game. If the GM's ahead of us are smart, both these guys will go before Scherff, Collins or Humphries.

-If you have watched his film, what are your impressions of his technique?

He's on the ground a lot for having such a big lower body. Which means he either leans into his blocks or he has poor balance. I was a leaner in college because I have narrower hips. Most of my power came from hitting a guy and leaning my weight into him which made me susceptible to get pulled to the ground. Which is why I was on the ground a lot. But my body type kind of forced my hand. Somebody with Peats lower body though, if coached up, could be a beast.

For those with criticisms, answer this question:

Are his issues fixable by coaching?

Off all the players out there and I wouldn't be upset about anyone Gettleman grabbed (In Gettleman we trust). this is the one player I would like us to grab.

His size, athleticism and the fact we have Oher and Martin we don't have to throw him to the fire in year one.  I think his issues are fixable by coaching and we have the staff to do it.

If we were to select him the veteran Oher is going to get in his ear quickly and tell him our coaching staff knows what they are talking about and to do and say as they teach.

Coming down to the last week before the draft.  Peat is my No. 1 pick.
