Some Notes:

-First off, the whole thing is a crapshoot, I realize how incredibly far off its going to be.

-The Winston pick may be good for the Panthers, as it will take winston a couple years to get acclimated to the NFL. Also he and Cam seem to be friends, which could help Cam step his game up when we play the Bucs, a little friendly competition.

-Recently Pettine said he’s not ready to give up on Manziel, but that doesn’t mean the owner doesn’t want to add some legitimate fire to his fanbase. It makes too much sense for the Browns not to move up, they’re not going to be contenders this year anyway, so they may as well start developing the franchise QB.

-I believe Cooper is currently the best of the WR group, by a long shot, followed by DGB.

-I know the Gregory pick is going to get tons of hate, but fug you do your own mock. Gus Bradley seems like a good enough coach to help Gregory through whatever problems he goes through, and they’ve got some solid veteran guys on that line. Yea this would be pretty shocking, but I don’t think anyone saw Bortles coming at 3 last year either.

-There’s going to be a lot of angry Panther fans when the Dolphins select Gurley.

-I’m pretty much just regurgitating all the poo I read on the internet with the 9ers pick. I fuggin hate the 9ers and the less amount of time I have to spend talking about them the better. No I did do my own research though and it is the easy fit.

- After the Ravens pick I got pretty tired and lazy, but I have a feeling the Cowgirls are going to be involved in a trade as well, I just really didn't want to try and project it.

I don't think Smith is a first round talent, therefore I don't see us reaching for him.

no way in hell we are drafting smith or dorsett in the 1st.

I think Devin Smith could come in an be in instant contributor to this team, and honestly I couldn't think of anyone better other than maybe Humphries. I know Landon Collins was available but I'm not that high on him.

No Ereck Flowers in the 1st round??

There were a few players that I almost slotted in early, but changed my mind. I almost put him at 10, and I wanted to put Scherff and Dupree earlier than they went, but this is just how it worked out.

If this were the draft I feel that we'd end up drafting a LT because there were only 3 offensive linemen total taken before us. DG stated during his predraft press conference that there were 4-5 LT's in the draft, so I'd have to assume that he'd be inclined to choose one of the available true left tackles he was talking about, if this draft were to pan out like this of course.

Could absolutely be the case, but Smith is one of my favorite players in this draft. Like I said though, my backup pick would be Humphries.

Though I disagree with some of the picks there is NOT A SINGLE FULL FIRST ROUND MOCK I HAVE AGREED WITH. It is all about opinions until it is cemented into the history book.

    • Didn't  see this posted (since 2023) but since folks have been posting that you can't judge a draft class for three years (a ridiculous take), I thought I'd post this to see what people thought about the 2023 draft. Unfortunately this may not be the most interesting class to do this with but I do quite like retrospective draft grades. Would appreciate other's takes on this (and other recent) draft classes.   1(1) - Bryce Young QB: I am a bigger Bryce Young apologist than most (maybe all). I like the kid. But there is no way around it: This was a terrible pick. If he had been picked in the 4th or even the 3rd round I would feel pretty good about it. But this was the first overall pick that we gave up two firsts, our best offensive player to get.  GRADE: C -    2(39) - Jonathan Mingo WR: not much to say here here. He was here for two years. His yards per catch are on par with Bryce's yards per pass. Rough stuff. To date he has still never scored a touchdown in the NFL GRADE: F   3(80) - DJ Johnson OLB: a pick I hated as soon as it happened and an example of why the premise of this thread is honestly dumb. This was a bad pick when it happened. Most people knew it.  Then came training camp and he did not look good. Then came the preseason which confirmed what we saw in TC. Then came the season which confirmed what we saw in preseason. To date, he has half a sack in his career. GRADE: F 4 (114) Chandlers Zavala G: Honestly the best pick of this draft which really speaks to how awful this draft is. Other than Bryce, the only pick still on the team. He is mostly average or below average depth which in round 4 is not terrible. But he had a pff score of 43.5 and though I think people have unrealistic expectations for draft picks, I still would want a little more from a fourth round pick GRADE: C+   5 (145) - Jammie Robinson S: I liked the pick when it happened but ended up being a disappointment. He logged 1 tackle with the falcons last year and not enough snaps to get a grade on PFF.  GRADE: F OVERALL DRAFT GRADE: F
    • You gonna make me post Stank before every game?  I kid, I kid.
