"No debate" these QBs are better than Cam Newton

Again we have excuses. This was not the case in 2013 when Cam had his full cast of "weapons". Can you tell me what weapon Kaep had that Cam did not have? TE is a push. WR? Cam had Ginn, Smith and LaFell, Kaep had Boldin and that's about it. Kaep's passer rating was also in the 90s, something Cam has never achieved in his career.

If Cam does not want to be compared to these other QBs, he'll have to shut people up by leading the NFL in a significant passing stat, like Luck did last year to shut most of the haters (including me) up.

That's fair, I would argue Crabtree is much better than LaFell and Ginn.

But in 2013, he only played 5 games and was injured for the rest of the season. I also think Cam is better than RW but with a worse oline than Cam and little WR help, he gets it done (not a ton of yds but solid TD and INT number as well as passer rating). At a certain point the play has to bear it out.

Season #1-  Stats don't matter making the playoffs do

Season #4-  making the playoffs doesn't matter I want to see stats.

Yep, about what I figured 4 years ago.

Andy Dalton has similar passing stats to Cam and has made the playoffs more times but we all know who Dalton is. Manning has the stats but is always choking in the playoffs. It's not a cut and dry argument like you are making it to be. I mean T3bow is a playoff QB but you and I know he sucks.

QBs that are without a doubt better than Cam:  Rodgers, Brady, P. Manning, Brees (though that's becoming debatable, I'd still put him there), Rivers.  Big Ben can be made a case for.  Luck can be made a case for, but a case could be made against just as easily.  On par with Cam is Romo and maybe Ryan and Flacco.  Cam is unquestionably better than Eli, Palmer, Cutler, Wilson, Stafford, Kap (lol at him even being mentioned).

Wilson....has a worse OL than Cam?  Invalidates everything you said.

Brady, Best  system QB ever and lucky to be paired with the hood.

Ben Really Good QB no way around it but flat out better?

Flacco, No

Luck, Push right now.  Time will tell who separates from the rest.

PM, This dude is on borrowed time.  Rayzer said it best.

Rivers, Yep dude is legit.

Romo, Not no but hell no.

ARod, Not yes but OMFG yes.

Brees, Lets all say it together... "fug the Saints"

Ryan, Maybe but I personally dont see the hype this guy gets.

Wilson.  Nope

Eli,  MOAR NOPE

Kap, laughable

Stafford, Can not win a big game.

Palmer, 2 ACL's not gonna happen bruh

Cutler pahlease

That is convenient because it gives opportunity to critique no matter the outcome.

Again, another person who has no idea what he is talking about yet still carries as if he does.

Cam Newton literally broke just about every passing and total TD record for a young QB, has been to 2 Pro Bowls, has won 2 consecutive NFCSC, led the team to a #2 seed and bye in the playoffs all in only 4 years

And losers are sitting with their arms crossed saying "I am not impressed"

Good luck finding a better QB lol

Invalidated based on stats or your own opinion? Stats seem to support my statement. We even had a thread on it here using data from FO I think. However I will give you stats from NFL.com for 2013 and 2014.

SEA oline ranked 12 in number of QB hits in 2014 and CAR ranked 24th. In 2013 SEA ranked 11th and CAR ranked 27th. What measure are you using for your oline? Do share.

    • It's just a talking head.  Talking about gambling. If anybody takes the under on 4.5 wins, they're most likely losing their money.   So he's only saying if you want to bet on a possible sleeper, take the over.  It's not rocket science.  Pathetic that so many on the huddle have reduced themselves to posting purely trash every time they hit the submit button.
    • I mean I think the best case scenario has to hit for the Panthers and everyone else in the NFCS has to hit their worst case scenario.  Personally, I think this is the year that NO finally collapses and I think they finish 4th in the division regardless.  ATL is overrated but still likely a 6-9 win team. TB plays tough football, their defense will be there but their success depends on the offense, they too are a 6-9 win team.  The Panthers are probably 4-6 wins at best. If they find some sort of momentum during the season and get 7-8 wins, and TB and ATL struggle then maybe but I find it very unlikely.
    • We screwed up a couple years ago taking Bryce in the first place.  Nobody held a gun to our head to jump from #9 to #1.  Most people who keep up with draft news knew this 2024 QB class was loaded and we should have waited, which I advocated. It was a dumb move and I knew it.  Now we have to roll with Bryce another year.  That's fine, because this 2025 class isn't that great.  I like Ewers, but not super high on him.  If Bryce shows improvement, which I think he will, that should get him at least one more season before we have to decide on if he's the permanent answer or not.  I've said before, the 2026 draft is the next window for a franchise QB if Bryce isn't the answer. Bryce gets this year and next at a minimum.
