Cam is like the last in his draft class to get extended and you people act like this hasn't been a slow process. But will be the same ones complaining when he gets paid 20mil+, that first interception is going to be fun.

I've already proven this wrong once, to a post you never responded to, but hey...you do you. Out of the Top 10 picks, only around 2-3 have extensions by now.

Truthfully, this news is awesome!!! I didn't really think they would let Cam walk but most people are crazy if they say there wasn't a chance. Honestly, I think Cam agreeing to sign early had a little bit to do with seeing Gett's focus on offense. If we didn't do something to sure it up, I'm not convinced Cam signs now. I don't doubt that Gman and co. waited til after OTAs, but I don't believe Cam would have been on board without offensive improvements. IMO.

This is basically an Aceboogie thread. Thanks. Anyone who thought there was never a possibility Cam would leave is just dumb. When Gettleman got his head out of his ass he paid up, simple as that.

If it were an AceBoogie thread, the content would be trollish and uninteresting.

Face it. You were wrong.  I seriously doubt you have the stones to admit it, but you're fooling yourself if you think everybody doesn't already know how dumb you look right now.

So i constantly get accused of being a "Cam" fan. He gets extended and people think I'm actually upset about it? The guy who's avatar is Cam, is upset about him signing a long term deal? Right.

​You can stop trying to make Cam's extension about you because honestly I doubt you're what anyone wants to think about right now.

Congrats to both Cam and the Panthers for getting a deal done. Our first franchise QB locked up! I guess that Newton jersey I got was a sound investment. Cam will be a panther for a good while!

Ill be smiling and acting all giddy up and down the office today!

      This is about getting open and YAC....and the QB we have.  You basically are just highlighting average depth when targeted vs 2 players. .  And yeah, I often say AT is a small slow reliable TE in terms of what he does for us.   That's what he is.   I think a couple of you want to make this into a Renfrow argument.   I'm a Renfrow fan.  Renfrow does not check the box of what a BY O needs either at the slot.  Renfrow just a niche roleplayer at this level.  it's easy to look up how horrific AT is with the ball in his hands and in terms of getting open.....and it's also easy to look up what a low ceiling of an offense the steady AT diet produces w/ BY.

      I simply acknowledge BY is the QB.  And just like we did when we drafted him.....the type O you would need to setup around him for success was always pretty simple.  But we have done virtually the opposite.  XL dropping some passes isn't why we were ranked the 32nd O and 30th passing the past 2 years.  *Ricky Prohel was brought up only in regards to role function he served on the team.  Niche/specialist.   He wasn't eating up the snaps in the O.    AT should have a similar snap %. People could MAUL Ricky Prohel and put hands all over him.   We got to the Super Bowl in part because we were mauling guys (our slot CB).   You can't do that now.  AT has a MUCH easier life and still can't get open.  Or run.    If you live in 3 WR sets, with a weak armed QB, and you choose to put someone who can't get open or run in the slot.......well, your are going to have a weak pass O.  That's by design IMO.
