Makes no sense from an economic perspective when he's on a rookie deal for a couple more years.

IIRC Hardy didn't emerge until Star and KK joined the defensive line. Great DT play, though it may largely go unnoticed, is what allows the rest of the defense to shine.

I know people are bummed with a lot in the game, but first half with no injuries, I'll take that all day every day.  Defense and run game are known commodities, they will improve, pass protection for first team was adequate.  I've got work at 4 in the AM, seen all I really need to tonight, I anticipate reading up on how ward and Byrd play in the second half.

I think last time we played them in pre-season, Norman dove into some guys knee and ended his season(maybe career?)

Lol at the people overeacting and dissecting every single thing that happens in this PRESEASON game. One play doesnt mean a player sucks. Hell even one game... people have off days, especially these young guys playing in their first nfl game trying to earn a spot. Pretty sure they got some nervous jitters going on. Calm down guys, just the first half of the first preseason game.

Maybe, but then again it says a lot about how Hardy has spoiled us. A lot of teams dont have 2 really good ends.  Most have 1 and another serviceable guy. I am trying not to expect a lot out of Ealy, i hoping Frank feels the void this year.

It seems like Ealy is going to take more time to develop , Defense is going to have to play more aggressive.
