This is the main problem..  I think it's gotten into his head that he has to replace KB and it's psyching him out. We aren't expecting him to replace Kelvin, but he may feel like it's on him to do it. I hope the coaches are telling him that no one expects that from him

He is terrible. He is on the same level of suck as Clausen or Byron Bell, he is done. When a player loses it mentally like he has then you cant recover. The funny thing is we dont even need him because Ginn is pretty much the same player but with better hands and more reliable.

I just dont understand why he is a lock. He has looked terrible all pre season and with all three of our QBs, he is done and I really hope hes not on the roster come game day

NFL players should catch open first downs and touchdowns. Nobody is asking him to replace KB. People want him to make routine catches with his hands and keep the ball away from his body. People want him to play like a professional football player.

Brown is getting paid to do a job. If you were low man on the totem pole at some company and your only job was to make spreadsheets and you just didn't do it, do you think the people in your group and/or your boss would say OH HEY GIVE HIM A BREAK. HE'S TRYING REAL HARD. People out to get ridiculed for jobs they are being paid to do but failing to perform.

give him a break huh...fug that! the reason our organization has historically suffered from being grossly inconsistent is the fact that our FO is too damn willing to give players a break, or give them an undeserving contract, give them a spot on the man 53 roster because they're a nice and likeable veteran. the key word here is GIVE. Let's replace GIVE with EARN. And while we're at it, let's stop saying "give him a break" and let's start saying "DO YOUR DAMN JOB" period. Can you imagine the patriots saying, ahhh give that receiver a break that dropped 6 passes in 2 games.

Nobody is asking him to replace KB, just make routine catches.  I've heard many speculate that he is putting too much pressure on himself .... OH PLEEEEASE.  The real pressure is on the scrubs trying to make the team.

I have never been a big fan.  Yes, he is fast and gets separation at times.  There are plenty of fast WRs that don't transition well into the NFL.  He has poor body control and can't make a catch in traffic.  Now, he can't catch without traffic.  The honeymoon is over.   Rivera likes fellow underdogs so I doubt they cut him. This isn't Calvin Johnson or Dez Bryant working through some issues.  He hasn't earned anything yet.  At the very least, drop him down the depth chart until he gets his head straight and then ... make him earn the spot back.

    • You would hope so. I’m confused why the sports world seems split on Bryce when he’s obviously not working out.
    • So let’s do the reverse? Make everyone agree everything he does is a disaster? I also think the whole “gaslighting” is on the eye of the beholder. It went from he can’t avoid one single sack countered with he actually did that well Sunday (with data backing it) to a little breakdown of why he is so bad. People are going to have different opinions. I’m also not going to pretend this wasn’t happening Day one with this little QB.
    • All this great stuff he has done, how often does he do it?  I have it at three or four games out of 14 where he was very good and then you get a drive here or a series there where there are some good things. Here is the gaslight part: everyone has put him on a curve with his first year the baseline, neglecting to understand how bad he was then. Even if he comes back twice as good, where does that really leave him? 25th ranked or thereabouts.     He had so far to go, and still does, it is a Major ‘settle’ to accept his play as worthy of giving him our future.  You want to settle when the Bucs have Mayfield, and the Saints have overtaken us at QB? We will be third in the division at QB. That is good enough for y’all?
