Coach Fox on Sirius

I really think Cap't will get the fumbles under control and we will see him as the full time punt returner by about week 3 or 4. (maybe even see him back there this week). He really shows potential. A small guy with speed and spirit, we did it once lets hope lightning will strike twice in the same place.

The only names I can think of that have done it in the past are Gamble, Smitty, Marshall and DeAngelo and I don't see Fox putting key players back there.

He's done it before and the team lives by the mentality of "its all football any play can cause injury." I would be a little worried if he went out on a limb and put any of those 4 back there but it wouldn't surprise me..

The only thing that would worry me is the fact that the Eagles would be gunning to try to injure one of those guys..

Does DeSean Jackson still return kicks or punts for Philly? I know he did once upon a time, but now that he is their primary WR I don't know. Don't watch much Iggles ball though, so I can't say for sure.

It's not like we throw a million times a game. I've always felt like Smitty should at least return a few punts a game to get him some touches. Especially in games where he isn't getting a lot of chances.

Seems pretty risky putting Smitty in there. Besides the fact he is a great receiver.....there are are so few receivers. Besides, at this point, Fox just wants someone who will not fumble. Smitty already had an injury in TC. If he got seriously hurt the first game returning punts................

I could only see that late in the season with a desperate team.
