Josh Norman explains how to recover a fumble

Anybody who condemns josh for this has never not once ever put on a helmet and played the game.

not gonna lie, the only time I found it acceptable to get a handful of a guys nuts was at the bottom of a pile when I played football in HS. It's all out war at the bottom of a pile, and anything goes as far as I'm concerned.

Dont know if I'd broadcast it though while still playing.

Ah... That sweet moment when you have to choose between winning a football game and maintaining a sense of personal dignity.

I think all of us choose winning 10 times out of 10.

If Brian Cushing said today that on Sunday he grabbed ahold of a KC lineman's private part and tried to pull it off in the process of trying to recover a fumble...what would you say about him?  Also, if he added that the refs screwed up the call b/c he didn't even recover the fumble after trying to rip the guys private parts off?

You would call Cushing a <curse word> and then talk about how lucky the Texans were to be awarded a ball the other team recovered....adding it to the long list of reasons why we will beat them.

Norman is fair game for putting his name to poo people don't talk about.  Just silly, dumb and pointless.

Hahaha I love Josh, he is so dumb, but yet so likable. With guys like that you just got to make sure they don't go full retard, and bust them in the jaw every once in a while. For that you have Cam and TD.

Yeah, seriously.  I was loving TD in the "enforcer" mode on Josh in the game keeping him from going over the top with his smack, etc.  I think Josh's exciteability may be one of the reasons we added Tillman.  As anyone who listened to Tillman's comments on the opening day of Training Camp (dorm room looks like a meth lab comment) knows, Tillman too is quite the personality.  But he's a wise old guy, and hopefully he and TD can continue to channel Norman's fire in the gut into awesome level football and keep him from getting into trouble.

LOVE J-NO's play these days, but he definitely takes a bit of careful managing to contain his crazy genius.

I swear he's like Howard Stern... You know hes only going to say something stupid, but you just cant wait to find out what it is. The year of Norman has arrived, lets enjoy the wave while it last.

he has a looooooooooooooong way to go to catch the stupidity that Smitty spouted a few times each season

Everyone knows poo goes down in a pile.  No one cares.

Why broadcast it?  Seems a bit dumb if you already push the envelope with your style to basically yell to the NFL in the media that you are dirty.  NFL is known to....how shall I put this...overreact with their methods when things are in the media.   Don't think Norman needs any extra eyes on him.

I agree why, say it?  But so he did?  It happened, why start a stink over it.  Acknowledge it and move along.

Pulling leg hairs, biting, scratching, poking, squeezing all real things my coach said to do in the pile if you dont have the ball.  If you have the ball there was only one rule, don't let go.

In all my years of watching football, no one was ever dumb enough to admit their dirty deeds.  Josh,  oh Josh... **SMH***

I wonder what good he thought would come of this admission.  Talking about speaking before thinking.

Norman's elevator doesn't go all the way to the top.

    • Didn't  see this posted (since 2023) but since folks have been posting that you can't judge a draft class for three years (a ridiculous take), I thought I'd post this to see what people thought about the 2023 draft. Unfortunately this may not be the most interesting class to do this with but I do quite like retrospective draft grades. Would appreciate other's takes on this (and other recent) draft classes.   1(1) - Bryce Young QB: I am a bigger Bryce Young apologist than most (maybe all). I like the kid. But there is no way around it: This was a terrible pick. If he had been picked in the 4th or even the 3rd round I would feel pretty good about it. But this was the first overall pick that we gave up two firsts, our best offensive player to get.  GRADE: C -    2(39) - Jonathan Mingo WR: not much to say here here. He was here for two years. His yards per catch are on par with Bryce's yards per pass. Rough stuff. To date he has still never scored a touchdown in the NFL GRADE: F   3(80) - DJ Johnson OLB: a pick I hated as soon as it happened and an example of why the premise of this thread is honestly dumb. This was a bad pick when it happened. Most people knew it.  Then came training camp and he did not look good. Then came the preseason which confirmed what we saw in TC. Then came the season which confirmed what we saw in preseason. To date, he has half a sack in his career. GRADE: F 4 (114) Chandlers Zavala G: Honestly the best pick of this draft which really speaks to how awful this draft is. Other than Bryce, the only pick still on the team. He is mostly average or below average depth which in round 4 is not terrible. But he had a pff score of 43.5 and though I think people have unrealistic expectations for draft picks, I still would want a little more from a fourth round pick GRADE: C+   5 (145) - Jammie Robinson S: I liked the pick when it happened but ended up being a disappointment. He logged 1 tackle with the falcons last year and not enough snaps to get a grade on PFF.  GRADE: F OVERALL DRAFT GRADE: F
