Guess who's dropping passes and guess who's making it look easy

I want to see Norwood get a jersey Sunday. But unfortunately, I have doubts that Rivera will actually deactivate Brown, at least this week.

It will definitely be interesting.  IMO they have to deactivate a WR to move him up.  I can't think of any other positions you could pull from to make it happen, without hurting depth pretty badly.  The debate:  Do we play the guy who knows the playbook well, but who's hands we can't trust... or the guy that doesn't know the playbook well, but will catch virtually everything thrown at him?

Webb was only active 7 games last season so he is a viable option. Somebody has to take up his ST play though.

This is key here. For Norwood to take Webb's place on the 46 man gameday roster, he probably needs to be able to replace Webb on ST. I honestly have no idea if he can but he has the size and speed to be able to do so. Does anyone know if he played any ST for Seattle last year?

Ginn had 2 drops, Funchess had 1, last Sunday. Philly was only targeted 3 times and caught 2 of those with 0 drops. Give the kid a break. Biggest thing I noticed in the video is how fluid Philly looks running routes. He has yet to drop one in a real game this season. Certainly hasn't earned a benching yet.

I've been pretty vocal about my disgust with the team keeping Bersin for so long, but at this point fug it. Bring him back up. And this excuse of "knowing the playbook better" that has been used going back to Legadoodoo is annoying. If you don't have the personnel for something ADJUST YOUR GD PLAYBOOK.  Make simpler passing plays or something til they're caught up. If Philly runs the right route and drops a pass it's still no better than Funchess running the wrong route and not catching the pass. And you'll probably get more positive plays on the ones that he does run right or are so simple that he can't really fug it up than Philly and Ginn simply not hardly catching anything.

Is Fozzy only returning Kickoffs, or can he also return Punts?  I forget...

no punts.

So we have no backup PR man.  I mean at the end last year  Bersin's confidence was shot and he simply couldn't do the job...and Ron wouldn't put Cotchery in to field balls late in a game.   Cothery did it for YEARS.  Heck, 89 was back fielding punts last Sunday.

So if Ron doesn't believe Cotchery can handle emergency return duties it might help Brown get his spot.

Really gonna sit superior talent for more than a few weeks because he doesn't know the playbook - well enough?

Then simplify your playbook. Or call the plays he's most familiar with when he's in the game. Don't overcomplicate things.

Didn't Gronkowski just catch 3 TDs last week with the most basic routes in the tree? It's really not that hard people.

S/T snaps for the Offense (WRs, TEs, RBs,) last week:

Philly 0

CAP  3

Ginn 5

Dickson 13

Fozzy 13

Webb 17

Brandon Williams 19

That right there is why Joe Webb is gonna get active every game.  Special teams and he can always be a #5 WR.  If you need that 5th WR things are already bad anyway so it doesn't really matter.

Well, he was inactive for 7 games last season, and only played in 7 of the 9 he was active for during the regular season.  So obviously, there was someone last year who could take those snaps.  Bersin?

There was a lot of shifting last year on ST's, which is why it was focused on more this off season.  Webb showed, later in the season, that he could contribute in a positive way, so he's now a huge part of it.  He's probably more of a ST's guy for us now, than QB or WR.
