Over at the Saints Report

the threads there are stuff dreams are made of. From trading Drew Brees to firing Sean Payton.  And the glorious acceptance that "it's over".

Face facts. If we cannot beat Jameis Winston in the Dome , we stand NO CHANCE against Ryan or Newton whatsoever. It's over folks ,Let's take the early opportunity to get a jump on building this Franchise for the FutureExtend and Trade Brees to a deal agreed upon by , the Jets or Bills for draft picks or Elite Defenders.Trade Ingram to the desperate for a RB Dallas Cowboys ( Where he'll likely succeed behind that ridiculous offensive line ) for decent draft picks.Give the Helm to Luke ( So as to not harm our developing quarterback )* We will also be tanking for a Top 5 Pick.

All good things must come to an end, including the Payton/Loomis error. The question is did it happen in 2012 or 2014? Personally I think this team never really recovered from bounty-gate.

That blind optimism just jumped off a 1000 foot cliff when the Saints were humiliated by a team they were 10 point favorites AT HOME against.

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
