The "Keep Pounding" chant in BofA yesterday

i actually thought of that when i saw this thread. I was right in front of Cam when he got the wave going at Fan Fest. i was literally on the second row in the lower bowl. we fans loved it. haha. he single-handedly got the whole place rockin'. our fanbase is young and excited. here's to hoping the team can give them sustained success to cement their loyalty and turn them from bandwagon jumpers into diehards.

i am surprised you could hear us on the TV. it was hot as hell yesterday and half the stadium was in the concourses after halftime. but its still encouraging. that means more people are getting involved. see above quote and response.

dont think UNC has that exclusively. USC does the same thing with Gamecocks. and ours is much more comical with half the stadium shouting for... well, there may be young eyes reading this haha.

Southern California has a Gamecocks chant?  Damn, that's impressive.  That's the only USC I know.

@RoaringRiot we need some kind of Keep Pounding chant/rhythmic banging organized with the Rioters if you haven't done so already so this thing can take off.  Especially with how much exposure the Riot is getting now, you've got a lot of power within the Panther community in helping getting something kicked off bro.

it's much easier for us to be loud at away games because we're all sitting together. At home we have a section with about 20 of us, but really it's the job of everyone to get it going. Until we get a Roaring Riot/cheering section in the stadium (and we're working on it) then it's going to be tough to lean on us to create those cheers.

That's why I always tell everyone WE NEED TO SIT TOGETHER AT AWAY GAMES. It's not about having the best seat - it's about being together so that we're louder. It works. Ask Cam.

That's awesome. I know every college has one, but ECU's "purple----gold" chants are fugging awesome. Great addition by the Panthers to get the fans and team pumped.

Also, the Jags had a pretty badass "move them chains" chant when they got a first down. It actually sounded pretty cool the few times they got a first down. And the 49ers have a first down chant from the movie 300.

We need something like that next.

Are you saying we are getting some culture and identity in BofA? We can't have that. Some people want to enjoy the game in quiet without a bunch of hootin and hollerin fans jumping around ruining a nice pleasant Sunday afternoon

Excuse me sir could you sit down? I am trying to watch the game.

As an ECU alumni who has yelled the purple and gold cheer for decades, this was fantastic.  It really can disrupt the opposing offense and pump up the defense.   I liked it better when we were did it while we were on defense rather than when we were on offense later on.  It could have disrupted our offensive huddle as they kept it up almost to the snap.  But with that said I am glad we are breathing some life into the crowd.  Next is when we stand all game long instead of just on third down.

    • I mean I just don't understand the argument. Baker and Sam both have been pro bowl QBs post their time here. And you just said yourself that is due to him having a damn good roster around him and they are well coached. You're even saying the bad baker is still there somewhere, but he is in a good organization with good roster and coaching that they are getting the best out of him. Why does Baker and Sam get all that benefit of the doubt but when it comes to Bryce it must be a BY9 problem, not an org or team problem?  Hell I got a guy below you arguing with me that Chark/Hurst/Mingo sucked because Bryce wouldn't throw them open. It's ridiculous how far the stretch goes.
    • Correct.  It’s really hard to get open in the NFL when opposing defenses gameplan and cheat coverage/routes on all your players because they know your QB can’t make certain throws/plays.   magically no one that comes to Carolina can get open or make plays with the ball in their hands…..it’s like there is one singular common dominator to it all.  BY makes playing defense way too easy.   NFL players are too good to allow one side to cheat coverage and not respect all the potential threats of a route  so you can dial up a great play.  But if corners and safeties just cheat coverage and know X and Y happening on route/threats….getting open gets hard when they just play it one way.  Getting open has a lot to do with the different threats a WR can pose on a given play.
    • Kinda depends how you look at it both were 3rd round draft pics.  Nico was nothing before stroud and tank came in with stroud.  If both were on the panthers would young have them doing well and starting or would their stats be low.  I really dont know the answer to that.  None of the panthers wrs have left and did well either but personally i feel neither of nico or tank would do much on the panthers.
