Josh Norman ignored in ESPN article about Julio Jones

The thread is about how Josh was snubbed at having already "shut down" the "best" and you chose, as a Panthers fan, to ignore Josh and point out that Julio Jones is very good.

In other words, you chose to be salty about OP putting "best" in quotes. You, as a Panthers fan, felt compelled to stick up for JJ.

It had more to do with him acting as if Jones has only been a monster for 3 games than anything else.  It's not a 3 game bandwagon.  Jones averaged 100 YPG 2 years in a row prior to this year, albeit 2013 was shortened by injury.

Besides, by discrediting Jones, you are also taking away from how much more impressive it was that Norman shut him down twice.  So in a way I'm still sticking up for Norman.

Regardless, I just flat out don't care if the media ignores Norman or not.  It's really not a big deal.

I think Julio gets away with a lot of pushing.

A lot of Julio's production is coming off of little pick plays.  Of course he's still really good deep down the sideline, but his production this year is heavily amplified and primarily because Quinn and/or the OC are abusing weak LBers or flat out breaking the rules on some of the picks they execute (see second half of Eagles game where it started getting called).

Really not too worried about him with how athletic our LBs are (assuming they are healthy) and Jno kicking major ass this year.

Note knocking Norman by any means because he's a great corner but it's funny how you all give him credit for stopping Julio when really it was you guys passrush(non existent this year) that had more to do with stopping Julio than Norman.

Matt could barely get any passes off in game one that we won and he couldn't get any off the last when you guys blew us out. The way the passrush is now I'm sure Julio will continue his tear.

Week 11 stats:  2 sacks 5 qb hits on 45 passing attempts

Barely get any passes off?  Yea man, whatever you say.

I hate to be a Debbie downer, but the Panthers' pass rush has been the key to beating Atl and NO the past 2-3 seasons. Without CJ, Alexander and especially Hardy, this will be a tougher task than usual for Norman. Unless of course Jared is still the player we think he can be.

Hardy used to ball out against the Falcons. That dude hated ATL.

Hate to admit it, but he has a point. Hopefully JA can bring a spark. This defense has been successful largely due to their ability to pressure the QB with the front 4.
