The Road to .500

Recommended Posts

The Panthers are currently:

  • 164-174-1 overall (including 7-6 in the playoffs)
  • 39-33-1 with RR and Cam (including 1-2 in the playoffs)

That puts us at:

  •  0.48 winning percentage, and 10 games below .500 as a franchise
  • 0.52 winning percentage, and 6 games above .500 under RR and Cam (woo hoo!)

I will be updating these numbers as the season progresses in my sig.

As a comparison:

NFCS

  • Taints: 331-421-5; 0.44; 90 games below .500
  • Bucs: 242-387-1; 0.38; 145 games below .500 (lol)
  • Falcons: 332-436-6; 0.43; 104 games below .500

Notables

  • Stillers: 615-547-20; 0.52
  • Boieez: 512-379-6; 0.57
  • Jags: 153-181-0; 0.46

Saints #28

Falcons #29

Bucs #32

fug our division is terrible lmao

It's probably a bit different if you look at it since these current divisions were created. Saints are definitely higher since then than they are in their entire history.

    • This guy pre-draft was saying he could take or leave football, and he seems to have been playing with that mentality ever since lol.
    • Agreed, another safety would be nice. Bud Clark, TCU, is one I would like to see us take a flyer on later in the draft, if he stays healthy and we don't take someone earlier. I just really hope we draft a solid C this year. Tired of seeing us cycle through average to below average players in that area.
    • Bryce doesn't like throwing into the middle of the field unless the play broke down or it's set up to give him a passing lane.  So because of this issue, most of the passing offense has to be outside the numbers towards the boundary. So you see him throw a lot of dump offs, swing routes, short side out routes, comebacks or deep balls outside the numbers using the boundary as protection of an interception.    Pretty easy for a NFL defense to see this and scheme against it.  All you have to do is run a shell cover 2 deep dime, LB plays a hook underneath, take the flat away with a blitz/flat zone option for the two inside DB's, outside two DB's play hook zone underneath and carry anything deep.    Pretty much what NO ran to take away Rico while also limiting What Bryce can do as well.
