This team has turned the corner.

We never hear about Green Bay or NE not being able to win due to injurey, that is because good teams find a way to win anyway, and the Panthers are one of these teams now.

We also won both of our games with our backup QB last year too.

Easy now.  I appreciate the enthusiasm and optimism, but I'm not quite ready to emphatically state that we're among the elite franchises in the NFL just quite yet.

Our 3 wins this season are against teams that are a combined 2-7 and our 2 wins last year with our backup QB were both close games against the team that would go on to only win 2 games and secure the #1 overall draft pick.

Not trying to piss on anyone's parade, but let's keep a little bit of perspective here before we go and start planning Panthers themed Super Bowl parties.

Hilarious, all the bravado folks have for the team that has beaten nothing but cream puff opponents so far this season.

I hear where you're coming from, but a team can only beat the opponents that are out on their schedule. 3-0 sounds nice, regardless of who the victories came against.

What does bravado have to do with being a fan watching a game? Its hilarious to see the downers who cant freaking enjoy watching a sports team win. Fan bravado doesnt effect the outcome of the next creampuff game.

Agreed.  It's amazing to me how quick some are to forget the panthers of old.

Panther teams of old would have no doubt found a way to lose to Jacksonville, Houston, and New Orleans (regardless of their situations).

This team has shown some backbone in beating all three of those teams with the injuries they have faced and I guarantee that they aren't going to apologize for getting three wins against them.

I've been unable to follow Panthers news for the past 48 hours, so just catching up.

Not sure where the best place is to ask this question, but I saw on twitter just now that Amini Silatolu is out for Sunday's game with an ankle sprain.   So, who does that leave as backup tackle??   Chris Scott?  Velasco?  Is there someone I'm missing?   Any chance of one of the PS OTs being called up?  I hope not, we've already been doing a lot of roster moves, but I don't like to see our Oline depth so thin.

While I want nothing more than Luke to return let's not forget the Cowboys still went 12-4 when Sean Lee was out for the entire season and their back up MLB was nowhere near the level AJ Klein is..

It is kind of funny how we keep moving the goal posts though. First it was, "Let's rest Kuechly for our two division games against the Saints and Bucs." Then now it's, "let's rest Kuechly for the tough four game stretch after the bye."

What next? "Let Kuechly sit out for the SB so he can be full health come next season!"

pretty sure they brought in former top 10 pick rolando mcclain to replace sean lee. mcclain is way better than klein.

I can't find the stat but I saw something this week when talking heads were talking about Andrew Luck. They said since he came into the league he has had the 2nd most line changes at something like 85 different changes. They then attributed a large part of his woes to that stat. Who was number one? Funny you should ask. The Panthers at something like 110. Yeah.

Hasn't been the case this year and here we are undefeated. Correlation is causation damnit. To answer your question directly...you're not missing anyone. Velasco and Scott are the only 2 guys on the current depth chart that are backup lineman (not Tackles just lineman). The only 2 Tackles on the Practice Squad are:

72Burton, PierceT6-6305241Mississippi

63Foucault, DavidT6-8320262Montreal

Thanks for the detailed & helpful reply.

Hopefully our Oline will be fine... it's been great to have the continuity early in the season.  But it sounds from Ron's comments about a potentially problematic ankle sprain as if Amini is going to be out for awhile, so... could be that we're gonna see another roster move at some point, perhaps depending on Daryl Williams prognosis.

Just read this at Panthers.com re: the Oline plan:

Converted guard  Amini Silatoluicon-article-link.gif, the top backup at tackle while Daryl Williamsicon-article-link.gif rehabs from a knee injury, suffered a high ankle sprain in practice Thursday and has been ruled out for Sunday. Rivera said guard Chris Scotticon-article-link.gif would serve as backup right tackle and that right tackle Mike Remmersicon-article-link.gif would shift over to the left side if anything happened to Michael Ohericon-article-link.gif.

If the thread title is "Practice Tweets"  and you babble on about stuff that is not related to the "practice tweets", you make it difficult for those of us who clicked on this thread to read about "Practice Tweets" to actually find the "practice tweets."
I assure you, if the thread had been titled, "Random babblings from fans who can't focus on a theme"  I probably would not have read any of it.
