The Negativity of Our Fans

Is this how the whiners in the game day threads justify their awful posts rather than being embarrassed by them after we win? (I'm not saying you are one of them, I know better than to go into the game threads.)

just sayin' some peoples negativity distorts their version of "reality."

The whiners only respect the Seachickens and fudgePackers as good teams. If we lose to them while beating Philly and Indy, our season's over at 6-2 cuz they scared of Atlanta going 12-0 before we play them, as if that's "realistic".

Here's the real "realistic". Every team gets starters injured. EVERY. ONE. OF. THEM. We've gotten to 4-0 without our #1 WR and best defender. Who else in the league has done that? Pats? Bengals? Broncos? Packers? Sure as hell not the Falcan'ts. They don't have the depth we have, and not all of their starters will be healthy all year.

But the whiners won't let inconvenient facts like that stop them from getting worked up. Even if we get to 8-0 we'll have to listen to them crying about how every game afterwards will be a "trap" game. Or they'll say if so-and-so on the team we beat had been healthy, we would've lost, so even tho we won, we still suck. Or Cam is doing too much, even tho I could name plenty of games where Brees passed for over 400 yards with no RB getting more than 50 yards and zero TDs, but that's ok with the whiners. It's ok when Brees accounts for all the offense, but not ok when Cam accounts for all the offense, because Cam gets "different" yards than Brees. Or discounting the effort of our defense creating turnovers by saying the other team played sloppy and gave the ball away.

Bottom line: they will sh!t in the punchbowl after wins and scream "I was right!!!" after losses. This is what trolls do. Don't feed them or their threads.

I made the same thread last week and got crucified for it. This fanbase is made up of little bitches. People expecting games to be like madden and Cam throw 5 TDs and run for 2 every game while the defense gets 10 sacks and 3 interceptions. It's sad too, all of the work that the roaring riot has done is being poo on by a bunch of grown ass men who act like toddlers on here.

Meh...Some folks refuse to take yes for an answer.  If we made it to the Super Bowl & won by 3 but Brady was KOd with 3 minutesto go, they'd be whining about how its not a real victory.

Its like logging on to a forum  that my MiL made ton of alts on.

Yeah I'm sure the Panthers are about to cancel practice for the next two weeks because they're 4-0...

It's much easier discussing things like areas this team can get even better in after a win than a loss, you feel as if despite this or that you still won and that's a sign of things as well. Just because people want to talk about special teams or whatever doesn't neccessarily mean they're being negative.

As for the whole "we haven't beaten anyone" well when the schedule came out I think everyone saw the first 4 games and knew they were winnable. However, actually going out and winning those games is huge and regardless of how it was done the Panthers took care of business. Guys who have been fans of this team long enough know these were the games we'd find way to lose. Now it's time for this team to get better during the bye and make a statement in Seattle.

As it stands right now I don't think we'll make the playoffs. The Falcons are going to win the division and we probably won't have a good enough record for a wildcard if we even get above .500

There are plenty of chinks in the armor and I think good teams are going to exploit them to the fullest.

Unless we beat the Seahawks that's how I feel.

To be honest, threads like this as JUST as annoying as the ones you reference.   If you are content with everything, you aren't a good fan, imo.

I don't really expect the media to trust us, you have to admit over the history of the Panthers we've always been an inconsistent team that hardly ever has an easy win, even against teams with less talent than us.  This pretty much covers multiple coaching staffs.  I've learned to live with it and some times, kind of agree from where they are coming from.   We're always that team that can beat a great team and then the next week make a backup or rookie QB look like Joe Montana.   That's just who we are, bad for our hearts, but that's how it goes.

This team has huge special teams issues.   We're a team built on game control and defense and when you let the other team start from the 30/40 every time, it's that much harder on the defense.    If we can get Luke back, those runs and short passes will ease up quite a bit though.  Klein has been serviceable but he's no Luke, and with the Saints game (dink passes) and Bucs game (runs on us) you can tell tell that we miss Luke.

Allen was a disappointment but he just joined the team, let's see how he does after the bye before freaking out.   I think the offense is doing mostly what it can, but our run game is bad.  I'm not sure if it's blocking or Stewart or a combination but I noticed we had a kickstart with CAP had a few runs.

I'm on the opposite side, I see absolutely no way we don't make the playoffs given our schedule.  Combined record of our remaining opponents is 25-22 and 12 of those wins come from 2 teams (Packers and Falcons x2). This is not only a manageable schedule, but this is an incredibly favorable schedule, one when we get healthy, should be able to parlay into a playoff birth.

I agree all this negative poo needs to stop. I've witnessed a 2 win team where it wasn't this much negativity. The truth is I believe some of our fans want us to lose so well be like everyone else and they feel like it's the same ol' Panthers. But news flash it's not the same team from years past. We can win ugly or win pretty but whatever the case I'll take the wins.
