Three Game Home Stretch (a warning to those buying tickets)

The Panthers have only had a three game home stretch in six of their seasons (with only three of those being in consecutive weeks).  None have ever featured back to back prime time games.

1995:  2-1

1998:  1-2

2000:  1-2 (with a bye in between)

2001:  0-3

2006:  2-1 (with a bye in between)

2011:  1-2 (with a bye in between)

I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility that this could be considered this franchises biggest stretch of home games in it's history.  With that said, be very careful if you are buying tickets off the street (especially over the next three weeks).  This will be a huge three game span for ticket scalpers and I'd imagine there will be many fakes in circulation. Couple tips for those of you going to scalp from someone who has been scammed in the past (last years Atlanta game in Atlanta):

- If a deal on tickets sounds too good to be true, it is.

-Take a seating chart with you so you know what exactly you are buying (it's been mentioned here before, but some of these scalpers will try and sell you clubs, when in reality that are just lowers)

-Most of the PSL tickets have holograms on them which is pretty tough to duplicate.  They also have a ticket master number on them that you can call to verify the bar code.

Lastly, if you see an eagles, colts or packers fan trying to buy tickets from a scalper, go offer the scalper double what he is asking and then walk off.  That way you have just screwed the opposing fan out of a little coin because that scalper is going to think those tickets are worth much more than what that fan is willing to pay.  If it prevents an eagles, colts, or packers fan from getting in the game; you've done your job.

I think the most important thing here is: don't trust anyone in Atlanta.

Actually bought the tickets from a guy in Charlotte.  Ended up he was selling fakes left and right.  We called ticketmaster off a gut feeling and the bar code didn't check out.  We then tried to call the guys cell back and it had been disconnected.

20 minutes after the fact, we saw him put the same exact tickets back up on craigslist with a different phone number.  We called him and tried to meet but he was on to us.

Scum bag of a human being and the worst $150 I ever spent.

    • I wouldn't mind a deal that would add Rust or Rakell from the Pens. Move Jarvy to 2C, send KK and a prospect to Pittsbhrgh. Pittsburgh is taking calls for both. And both of them have played very well against Carolina.
    • I liked James on a personal level. I still do. But he had his flaws too and what's done is done. Charles Lee will get this season to showcase what he's building. If he and the team look like poo he should be on a very hot seat. But I don’t expect that to happen. I could be wrong. But I'd rather not be in this instance. Regardless. At some point we're going to be lucky to hire anyone worth a damn if we keep firing coaches. It's not something any of us should want to see because it's only going to mean yet another reset. Best case scenario is Lee with this infusion of youth establishes a refreshing culture change. We'll see.
    • This is preseason fluff, I know he has Buffalo 28 and they might not be are studded but they will perform over expected which can easily happen to the panthers. This is the “name game/franchise name”. I would put us against Green Bay in terms of talent but Green Bay is gonna get the benefit of the doubt
