Now a lot of the media is picking the Eagles because of a letdown game for us

Do you think that's possible? In the past under Rivera when we've had huge wins, we've had very close nailbiter wins the following week. Won on the last play of the game vs. New England after the San Francisco win in 2013. Survived a Hail Mary just short of the end zone against Miami after beating New England. Won 21-20 over the Falcons after the win against the Saints in the rain.

I think this will follow that same formula. We'll probably get down early against Philly and people will be wanting to jump off cliffs and then we'll fight back in the 4th to win it by 3 points or less.

In 2013 when the Panthers traveled west to SF and won a tough battle against a great team, they followed that up by defeating the New England Patriots on MNF. That's right, Tom Brady and the Patriots. That game was followed by a 4th quarter comeback win against the Dolphins in Miami.

The reason I bring this up is because Rivera brought up the similarities to the 2013 game on the west and then playing NE at home on MNF, to going out to Seattle and getting the W and now playing the Eagles at home on SNF.

exactly, when we lose it won't be because we aren't prepared or taking a team lightly, it will be because they were simply the better team that day! Rivera has them in the right mindset and I don't for see either one of the next two teams as simply better than us.

Possible? It is possible the Lions could be the Patriots.  NFL.   All it takes is one person not doing their job and any team can lose to anyone.

Forgot that Dolphins game came after those two.  That was an epic three game stretch.

    • Most EVs are in the 90+ e-MPG meaning some measurement house somewhere compares the EV to a similar ICE model and works out how much is costs to charge (on average) versus fill up as a point of comparison. Talking long term, in the hundreds of thousands of miles?  No clue.  Some early signs are that EV batteries maintain 80% charge over 400k miles.  So there's that.   The challenge and charm of an ICE vehicle is being able to park it under a tree, get your jack stands out and tinker with your engine.  There's just not that same level of complexity in an EV.  I saw someone estimate there are 200 or so moving parts in an EV, and 2000 in an ICE vehicle.  I'm not a part counter so I can't really speak to that. I think that the EV is more the future than any type of combustion engine.  Those will still be around in specific purposes, but for most people - an EV will be the superior option in terms of efficiency.  I say that as someone who loves stupid horsepower numbers out of turbo 4 bangers and inline 6s...  I am one of those tinkers when I can be. A bigger issue for EVs is going to be the ownership versus lease.  Right now, there are INSANE leases on EVs, which is great, but what do you have at the end of that lease?  Nada, maybe some equity if you're lucky.  Where as I'm almost done paying for my car, and plan to keep it until the wheels fall off (or my son wrecks it when he starts to drive).  Will EV makers do the smartphone thing and build in planned obsolesce?  Stop updating software?  I love the tech in EVs, and I think getting more cars and trucks off the road is a good thing.  But I am still just a little concerned.  Capitalism has gotten far too extractive.
