Two things that NEED to be said.

Shula is everyone's whipping boy but he is balling out with a limited cast of WR. He gives Cam audibles to call and make adjustments. He is a great OC and we are lucky to have him.

Secondly if you prefer ranch with your buffalo wings you are a heathen and do not deserve the nirvana that is fried chicken wings. Blue cheese, master race.

Ive seen Cam audible quite a bit at the line tonight, this guy is really taking the offense into his own.  If it wasn't for 2 of those crazy INT's, the game could have been a bigger lead then it already was.

Either way. 6-0

Shula came a long way with our fan base.

For anybody who was at Fan Fest this year, you know this story. For those that weren't and didn't hear about it, during Fan Fest, the announcer at the stadium introduced our starting roster as well as our coaching staff and FO personnel. When Shula's name was called, a majority of the stadium booed. Like, a lot. It was loud. Not embarrassingly loud, but loud enough that I think at least a few players and coaches had to think "man, that's harsh". Then Shula goes out and calls games that put up points and has us at 6-0 with one of the most feared (even if it isn't flashy at all) offenses in the league.

And yes, I believe our offense is or SHOULD BE feared. We are grinding it out against GOOD run defenses and putting up points in the process.

EDIT: Cam does call a lot of audibles, but who is the man behind the scheme?

WRONG. This is what happens when you give Cam and Stew an offensive line.

Shula is getting better, but I'm not just gonna throw like 4 years of horrible play calling out the window after 6 games. Definitely improving though

    • I read that Pittsburgh is a possibility.  I think of college QB studs who had some form of mental quirk yet tons of talent--but their issue made being a team leader difficult and it led to their demise--going back:  Jamarcus Russell, Art Schlichter, Jeff George, etc. I think people forget that the QB must not only have talent, but they must lead.
    • I wish I knew more details, but the NIL money to 20-year olds combined with easy access to gambling sites is a side effect that these kids may not have considered.  To your point,A famous 2009 Sports Illustrated article titled “How (and Why) Athletes Go Broke” estimated that 78% of retired NFL players go bankrupt or face significant financial stress within two years of leaving the league.  I am guessing that ego and $$$ and the thrill of competition (most pro athletes love competition because they are the winners) makes it a powerful temptation.  Throw in the ease of gambling on your phone which is always in your hand, and I see your point x 10.
    • Freeling got some reps at RT when they gave Moton a rest day--I sorta hope Freeling gets brought along slowly as you describe.  It would be better for him for reasons you provide.  We have a really good problem.
