with all of this trade talk

I'd call Indy up for Moncrief. They're loaded with Wide outs. So is GB. That's just me though. But really, we're winning with what we have now.

He is their WR2 and an emerging stud they drafted in the 3rd round last year. Dorsett is out for 4-6 weeks and Johnson is pretty much finished. They need him and they wouldn't trade him anyway since they have him for cheap for 2 more years. Guys on rookie deals don't get traded unless they are terrible or in the last year of their deal with no hope of resigning.

go look at pattersons numbers his rookie year and then go look at Hills entire career.

not even fair to compare the two. Patterson had star written all over him after his very productive rookie year. He probably won't turn into a star but you can't help but notice how good he was his rookie year and how good he is with the ball in his hands.

The only comparison I've got going between the two, is people's expectations of them, and those expectations never being met... ever.

Patterson has played in 38 total games and has 5 TD receptions.

Hill has played in 23 total games and has 4 TD receptions.

Patterson caught 80 passes his first 2 years for a whopping 863 yards (10.8 yards per reception).

Hill has caught 45 passes in his 2 active years for 594 yards (13.2 yards per reception).

Its clear by these comparisons that Patterson is soooooo worth a draft pick in a trade.  ;)

Chris Conley, Ty Montgomery, and Stefon Diggs.

Is Devin Funchess worth those 3 receivers? The Panthers front office thought he was. Bad moves at the receiver position over the past 2 off seasons.

Jarvis Landry was a desired WR by many for the Panthers after gutting the position. Panthers decided Kony Ealy was a better value.

Too many mistakes at the WR position over the past 2 off seasons by the front office. Should not need to trade for a WR at this point to be honest - even with an injury to the #1.

Fantastic observations made from the POV of 100% hindsight!

Based on the injuries and Ealy's overall performance this year, his stock has increased (ignoring the fact that you can't truly evaluate a player until year 3 anyway). We know the team is 6-0 without any of those receivers; would they be 6-0 without Ealy?

He had 9 total touchdowns in 2013 as a rookie which was better than anyone's expectations because they were creative finding ways to get him the ball

im not saying he will be a great WR but he can become a very solid role player with big play potential that can change a game.

    • Not many people talking about DT, but we have a need.  (DE)  Now this guy is a NT like Brown III
    • But is it about letting Bryce develop or about winning games? Bryce has not been good enough to be an uncontested starter. He just hasn't. How many times has last drive Bryce shown up for 4 entire quarters? Once in 3 seasons? You aren't going to win 9 or 10 one score games every season year in and year out. You may want Bryce in the last 2 minutes. I want that Bryce the full 60.  No one is saying you have to give up on him, but bringing in another QB that can do anything is not hindering Bryce. It helps the team and that's where the focus needs to be. If drafting Sadiq to plague the middle of the field would help out offense, but Bryce struggles to get pass into the middle of the field, is Sadiq a bad pick? Or could he be a good pick with a better option at QB? We can't be afraid to improve. QB, TE, OL, LB, DL, CB, S. It doesn't matter. The goal is SBs, not 5 to 8 years seeing waiting to see if Bryce can develop while the rest of the league keeps passing us by.  Sadiq is a nice option, but I think we have to address tackle if one we like is there because we are painfully thin after this year, a LB to general the field, and a true ball hawking safety that can set the tone in the secondary. Those 3 positions are bigger game changers than a TE that will likely struggle to make a round 1 impact in this offense.
    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
