Cam's short throw accuracy: Should we be worried?

Don't get me wrong watching Cam play and develop has been a blessing to watch but it's a bit unsettling when one play he throws a perfect 50 yd bomb and then misses a simple 5-15 yd pass. In the off season there was a lot of talk about him improving his passing but there have been a decent amount that got away from him this season, is it something to worry about? Or maybe the chemistry with these WRs isn't where it should be?

Yes.

The panthers could have scored fifty if cam had hit his intermediate routes.

The offense has very little margin for error due to the way the coaches want to play the game.

When they're constantly in third and long in the second half, either cam needs to be more accurate or we need to start throwing on earlier downs.

Did you notice that Aaron Rodgers missed some throws too?  You can't always be perfect against NFL defenses.

You can't tell me Rodgers would have missed Olsen on that seam route and Cotchery on that out route if he had the time and space Cam did. Not sayin he should be 100% but hitting those kind of throws would do his near 50% completion percentage some good.

In the first half, Rodgers missed some throws that were that easy.  He caught fire late, but he really struggled early on.

No QB is perfect. As Linville said, Rodgrs missed some unpressured "easy" throws too. Every QB does. Cam doesn't miss many, and makes up for th slightly higher percentage of throws than the Rodgers, Bradys and Breeses do with other attributes they couldn't dream of doing. Imagine seeing Brady front flipping over the Texans DL for a good mental chuckle heh.

As damn big as Cam is, he said he couldn't see Cotch on that route.  He was throwing the route, and misjudged.  That wasn't Cam just missing a target right in front of his face...

Yes indeed.

In fact, I would recommend panic!

    • I would write “give remmers tight end help” on a yellow sticky note and stuck it in shulas playbook the night before superbowl 50.
    • And don’t worry about Bryce he will be great… Peyton Manning had a horrible rookie year too 😂
    • Nothing wrong with it at all until you start telling others they are bad fans or not fans. But you are the good fan because you never say negative stuff about the team.    I did many years of that type of uninformed fanning because there really was no info and coverage like there is with the internet.    I mean, I used to go to the store and get Street and Smith’s annual football issue. That was about the extent of what you could get if you didn’t live in a big city with sportswriters covering and reporting.  There was no video to look at or replay the games and if you didn’t live in the market you could only rarely see your football team play.    TI have fanned since being a kid in the early 1960s, and as late as 1995 - ‘97 I lived in Atlanta and good luck getting more than 3 or 4 games a year on TV. No radio either. No print coverage outside of an AP recap and box unless they played Atlanta.  People today that have always had the network connection don’t know.    I wasn’t very educated about the Panthers until I finally got internet.
