I was just entering the drive chart data into my spreadsheet...

The Redskins' yards totals form quarters 2 - 4 are really bad.

Q 1:  3 drives 91 yards (1 drive was their 99 yard K/O return for TD which shows up on the stats as "0 yards", so really this should be 190 yards total)

Q 2:  3 drives, 28 yards

Q 3:  4 drives, 21 yards

Q 4:  3 drives: 28 yards

"But the Redskins are just as bad as every other team the over rated 10-0 Panthers are.  They haven't beat anyone, not like Miami with Romo at the helm.  You know he once save 38 orphans with just his smile!  And Romo would be the best president ever but he's not running so he can concentrate on winning all the Championships for the Cowboys.  Did you know he can win not only the NFL Championship, but the NHL, NBA, CFB, Checkers and Chess at the same time, as well as the requisite number of miracles to be sainted...."

Some folks just refuse to accept that the Panthers are a really great team.  This shows how well the individual and group elements work in harmony.  And why we are so tough defensively.  Everyone with a halfway decent offense thought they would run through us because they thought we were overrated...and what happened?

Dallas could very well make a little bit of a run, but we're not going to rollover because we wish we were at home with our families.  They are going to have to beat us at what we do well:  blocking and tackling.

That play right there is the dirty little secret the rest of the NFL don't want to face, it's not about how accurately Brady can launch the ball or how many one handed catches Odell Beckham can make. It's about fundamental football: out blocking, out tackling and winning at the line of scrimmage. At some point they will face the reality that their big men just aren't as fundamentally good as our big men.

      Did you watch it? I saw stuff that was behind guys and stuff like that I thought it looked pretty average for NFL QBs but I am no PFF metric dog.

      I feel like anyone within the Panthers fanbase no matter where they land on Bryce should agree on this. He's a good kid. He's intelligent. But ultimately is he going to ever be the guy to command a locker room? Obviously none of us can say. But I just don't get any alpha vibes from him whatsoever. Is that a dealbreaker? Not necessarily. Here's the thing though. We had the talk of his generational years ahead of his age leadership trait clubbed over our heads for weeks nonstop before the draft. But after seeing someone like Sam Darnold navigate life as a starting QB I think anyone here should be able to acknowledge homerism there are some similarities to Darnold in terms of personality. That is not what we were sold. All of this takes me back to before the draft. I just can't shake the sense that Stroud just rubbed Tepper or someone the wrong way. Was he too confident? Not subservient enough? Did they feel Bryce was more marketable and media savvy? My gut says these things weighed more into the pick than they should have. If not. Stroud more than likely would have been the selection. What's done is done though. I'm just like you though. I want to see some fire from Bryce at some point this season. But I'm expecting to be disappointed considering his first order of business following one of the worst rookie seasons ever was to detach completely and do nothing. As always. Hoping for the best. I feel like I have to put a disclaimer at the end of this post for the Bryce superfans. I want to see him do well. I don't want this to end in the worst case scenario. There now we can be friends!
