Good or bad?

Quote

Norman was clearly in Bryant's head early. When Panthers safety Kurt Coleman picked off Romo on the first drive of the game, Bryant and Norman stood behind the play yapping when it appeared the Cowboys receiver could have had a chance to stop a touchdown, if he made an effort.

"Me and him were having choice words," Norman said of the play, "then I pointed at Kurt as he scored and I said, 'Look at that, Now take that back to your huddle and come back again.'"

Not a problem. Corner is a position where you're going to have to talk a bit. You've got to have swagger to play well at that position. I feel the same for WR. Just try not to pick up any taunting or unsportsmanlike penalties. I do know they'll happen occasionally, though

Also, nothing wrong with a lil talking if you're able to back up your talk. That's the rule in the neighborhood: talk all you want, just be able to back it up. Otherwise, you look silly out there.

So far, Josh can back up the talk he's talking. Lol, I remember Smitty used to get in the heads of opposing CB's early, effectively taking them out of the game mentally

I would be mad if Coleman fumbled and we were a man down to recover it because he was too busy talking to notice what was happening on the play.

Norman basically blocked Dez out of the play without ever actually touching him. I'm fine with that.

    • I read the entire article.   Seam routes are great against a single high safety because they have to make a decision.  They can be high risk, high reward play but they are a staple in nearly every NFL game.  Just because they are tight windows doesn't make them hospital balls. The biggest takeaway from that whole article was this is football.  You're going to get hit.  You can get lit up on any play.  QB tries the best he can to judge the distance but the structure of the play is going to get you hit and that safety can run down hill.   Here is one to Sanders, from the same game, who slows down slightly and puts himself in a better position to make the catch without getting lit up.  Hunter ran full tilt and jumped.  No fear running that route which is what Grok recommends.

    • You don't throw high over the middle, unless your Bryce then it's okay and it's the recievers fault. Plus Sanders is 6'4" 250 and Renfrow is 5'10" 180
