I think it's great that Ted Ginn Jr. credited Cam Newton for his success because it's the TRUTH!

Many fools in the anti-Cam MVP discussion will point solely to the quarterback's stats, as if football is played on a piece of paper. Well, here are some stats from the last seven games, when Newton has hogtied the MVP race: 62 percent completion percentage, 255.3 pass yards per game, 19-3 TD-INT ratio, 112.5 passer rating and three rushing touchdowns

Without Newton the Panthers aren't undefeated. Without Newton the Panthers aren't close the the highest scoring team in the NFL. He might not be everyone's perfect quarterback, but there is no denying he's a winning quarterback. Every week Newton makes plays to get his team the W and throws that leave your jaw gaping:

That's because he can be.    He';s only 30. ,  I swear,  I would try to lock him up for at least 2 more years,  just to see if him and Cam can develop even more chemistry.

Thats the thing with Ginn, he will catch some absolute BULLETS from Newton in a tight situation when it matters, but the bombs where he has 2 steps, he drops.  

 

In the end, glad to have that guy line on our WR this season, he has contributed greatly this season.

While Ginn is a very different player here; I'm just thrilled to have him be part of our team.  

Ginn has made some really great catches and drops this season.  He's kind of a 50/50 guy.  You'll have to take the misses because his hits are insane.  I'm glad he's here, and I'll be glad when he can be the 3rd/4th receiver again. Getting Funchess better, getting KB back is going to push him back down.  He'll still be productive, and if I'm him, I stick around here.  Want a Super Bowl ring?  This might be the team to do it.

Not many receivers in the league with ludicrous speed.  Ginn is one of them.  Watching the game with falcon fans was so enjoyable.

We get a lot of credit with guys like Cam, Luke, TD, Olsen, Stewart and Norman. They are, rightfully, star players and all good teams are built around guys like them, but when we look back on this season, we all need to remember the guys like Ginn that pushed us up to greatness because they found a home and a system that they could thrive in.

We're lucky here that our star players don't act like celebrity players. Rising tides lift all boats it's often said, but here it seems to be the rule of the day. The environment here, now, is one where players thought to be marginal or cast off by other teams can actually shine and find their place. Ginn's a good example, but you also have to put him in there with Coleman, Tolbert, Short, Turner, Norwell and others who are playing lights out because they have a system that works with them and values them. These guys have all had their moments of stardom and some haven't even hit the top end yet. Some of them would have never had that shot elsewhere.

And look at guys like Cotchery, Harper, Oher, Tillman and Allen. These are quality vets that other teams had seen as being on the downslopes of their career arcs. Here, they aren't just coming in as teachers (but they are and impactful ones, too), but as starters and quality contributors.

Old JR has a lot to be proud of here. His front office and coaching staff is working on creating a world-class environment and organization. 13-0 is the biggest by product of that.

      He’s been every bit as much of the problem as anyone else. You cant remove him from that fact, he is just as much part of the team and in THE most important position on the field. But this is the first season he’s seen any kind of continuity in his team and coaches. And he’s shown flashes here and there. But we do need more out of him going forward a lot more if we are going to be successful

      Bryce isn’t great and super mid. But I think can be a game manager. What do we think is out there? Daniel Jones isn’t going anywher. Mac Jones? Zach Wilson? Pickett. I’m just not sure what’s out there that is much better without having to give up a ton of capital. Rather take one more step closer to contention with our early rounders next year with FS and LB help. Make this  place where dang they got a defense and a WR1 and solid RB room. I can win with that and want to be here

      AR15 is if Justin Fields was fragile and his teammates hated him. No thanks. Ya'll think you hate watching Bryce Young? Wait until your QB can't even complete a 7 yard pass over the middle, which Fields and Richardson can't do. If the draft class was better, I could absolutely see the Titans moving on from Ward already if they got the #1 pick. But so far the college QB's haven't impressed enough. They'll have flashes, but then follow it up with a very meh game. Kyler is already done in Arizona, but he has a ridiculous contract and he's basically Bryce that likes to scramble, so no thanks. If Lawrence can't produce with that team in Jacksonville, what do you think he'll do here? He's tall Bryce who can throw deep but can't make the 4th down throws and crumbles in the red zone. No thanks. I do think Canales wants to move on from Bryce, his body language says so even in wins. He treated Bryce pretty odd this week and Bryce looked checked out in the Packers game. But unless they make another risky trade, its going to be slim pickings. Basically our hopes lie in hitting early in the draft with a Mateer, Nussmeier, Beck type or finding a random backup free agent that has another gear to hit.  I think even with the draft being wishy washy, 4-5 QB's will be taken in the top 7. A lot of teams are just that desperate.
