So it seems CAP will be the man until Stewart gets back

He reminds me so much of Stewart when he runs the ball.  Patient and sheds off arm tackles with ease.  Needs more reps to get comfy with cam in the read option. And maybe he could be a little less willing to bounce and jus hit the hole for a 2yd gain if nothing is there, but as a whole I thought he had a great game.  Came up big for us.

If you take away his one long run, he had 33 yards on 13 carries. I think that says more about our run blocking than him though.

Yeah but you can't take away that run because he ran it lol.  I mean I've seen games where AP would get a bunch of 1-2 yard carries but bust one or 2 for 20+.  It's that occasional ability to break those that make a RB good.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
