You know what? I think we get stupid sound bites like this from players because of REALLY poor journalism (the bigger issue). I listen to every one of RR's pressers and I consistently hear questions that sound like they are coming from a 13 year old girl at the lunch table. "so and so said, what do you think". 

Its really piss-poor. Ron was right when he said the NFL is a soap opera. It's 80% about the drama and personalities and 20% about the games. I don't think we'll ever see it go back the other way.

 This is apparently what people want. If they wanted pure football, then the NFL Matchup show on ESPN would be 2 hours long and would be on in prime time. Instead, you get football shows full of manufactured drama, with most of the coverage revolving around the teams they like the most...Dallas, both NY teams, and Green Bay being at the top of their list, regardless of what their records are.

The problem is hate. Same thing with the warriors in the NBA. Panthers are undefeated and most fans can't name anyone on our team other than Cam and Luke so we aren't "supposed" to be this good. I honestly think teams still sleep on us and that's how they end up getting stomped 38-0.

Panthers will be the laughing stock of the nation if our season is cut short. There are people gritting their teeth waiting on it to happen, this team will never stop having to prove everybody wrong. It takes a certain kind of focus to push threw that image and sustain success. Everybody is gonna start pulling out all sorts of distractions. I think we do have that focus but we will ultimately know when we are holding up a championship
