But to get there, he's had to be football's version of Harvey Keitel's character in “Pulp Fiction.” As a cleaner, Winston Wolfe solved problems. As messy as they were, he was completely cool under pressure.

Gettleman isn’t the lone architect of the three-time NFC South Champs. Eight of the Panthers’ 10 Pro Bowl players were brought in by former general manager Marty Hurney. But Gettleman was called to clean up a salary cap mess, and he’s done it as calmly as a cleaner.

Love Gettleman.  We are so blessed to have him as our GM.  So glad he's willing to stick by his principles and take the heat for unpopular moves.

I've been assured numerous times that he's a senile old miser who only cares about money and not winning.

Thats the only part I do disagree with.  This guy does deserve a victory lap.  He has set this franchise up to be successful for years to come, something we could have only dreamed of years ago.
