Just learned "Seahawk" is another word for an Osprey. One of ugliest god damned birds ever.

And all they eat is fish.

"fans from opposing teams are respectful of each other"???

Maybe if it's a debate, but football fans? This guy is clueless.

We played for a conf title in '96 and a superbowl  in '03 but we're new to this? LOL - more proof that most Seahawks fans just got here.

Also with the southern stereotypes... they realize there's a Starbucks in just about every Walmart, right? Starbucks is infact the Walmart of coffee.

It's pretty simple... most Hawk fans couldn't tell you what the difference is between an offensive and defensive tackle... they think halftime was invented for people who wear Depends...

The people you see all decked out in their paint and costumes are the ones that jumped off one of the various bandwagons.

The Seahawks finally cracked .500 as a franchise for the first time in their "storied" history this past December. To be fair, it took Carolina almost two seasons in the NFL to accomplish that feat. Seattle also won its first division title in its 12th year (origin of the 12?)...again, it took Carolina 2 years to accomplish that. Sure, we are 3 games under .500 now, but a run to a Superb Owl win would put us at exactly .500. Seattle calling us "new" to winning is not only laughable on its face, but coming from them, it borders on comical.

"Anyways, white is the traditional playoff color for Carolina and was worn on some of their most impressive playoff wins. But I don't expect newcomers to the NFL to know that. "

I'll be the first to admit the insurgence of "12's" is very annoying (sidenote I hate that term as a whole, but thats another thread for another day) .. but this is kind of ridiculous.  lol.  I'm a pretty knowledgeable NFL fan and I had no idea the Panthers had a traditional playoff color.. further, weren't most of your bigger playoff wins on the road?  The magazine cover shows the NFC CG where you beat the Eagles in Philly.. of course they'd be in white.

Saying "lol they don't know our unis are white in the playoffs!" is akin to me going "Russell Wilson hasn't lost by more than 10 points in his career" .. its a fun stat thats 1) meaningless to the game and 2) only really talked about by that fan base.

The Greg Hardy thing though... man... not a good look.  There was another poster that asked what needed to happen for the Seahawks to host a home playoff game as the 6 seed too.  That one was also fun.

Yikes.....I bet that dude's family tree is a broomstick.

Beast...you are welcome here any time.  You are pretty damn knowledgeable and rational.

Our team wears whites at the weirdest times. I honestly don't know the rhyme or reason. They say earlier in the year it's because of the heat and humidity, but I don't know why they'd do it in January.

They do it just to give those that obsess about the  Black on Black uniforms something to whine about all week....they are bastards that way.

Jackie Mills made the decision as our equipment manager. He chose to wear white due to our success in the playoffs wearing white verses our success wearing black. I don't really like the supertitious thinking behind this, because I believe we will be forced to wear black in the superbowl which may come back to bite us or be in our heads. Kinda silly.

I think the NFC is the away team this year so it'll be up to the AFC to choose their color.
