It looks like the Broncos success against the Pats is  driving some Denver players thoughts on our match-up.

Hell they beat a injured and fading N.E. team twice. They should be favored over the 17-1 Panthers.

I don't discount them, they are a very good team and that defense is nothing to ignore.  Their defense is so good that they've drug the 16 rated offense (as well as the team with the 3rd most turnovers in the NFL) to the superbowl.  That said, they won't be able to turn the ball over more than once or MAYBE twice and have a chance in this game, we are the games most opportunistic defense and most effective short field offense.

I love how we get no respect all year long, it motivates the players and the fans embrace that mentality too.

Then for the first time all year we finally are being talked about as the favorites and when the other team tries to play the no respect card our fans dismiss it as overconfidence and start talking about a shut out.

Stop acting like bandwagon Seahawks fans, all he said is he felt they deserved more respect for beating the Patriots twice this year, the exact same thing our players were saying about beating Seattle twice and still not getting the proper respect.

They beat a NE team that lost 4 of its last 7 games this season.  They were beat up....had no OL....had no run game.

Denver is about to get rolled and their players know it deep down.

And their damn center was choreographing the snap for them.  You know Kalil isn't going to do that. They're walking into a buzzsaw

They have just as much of a right to play the respect card for motivation as the Panthers. It seems the whole world of football has come to a giant debate about respect. It's a good thing they settle this silly respect thing with a playoff system.

It's great for them to think they can handle us.  They are confident because they did carry their offense here.  Our defense is no joke either.  I'm sorry to the Broncos, but they will have to win with D. Will their offense score?  Maybe, especially if they dink and dunk the ball and we play terribly.  On the flip side, if they turn the ball over and we score off those, and get some drives going, it's going to be that much tougher for them.

Both of our teams deserve to be here.  It's no accident.  We also have been playing extremely well down the stretch (the ATL loss aside).  I think we will keep pounding, and I think that will bring us a victory.  Though if we get off our game, get caught up in the Super Bowl drama and lose focus on the game, we'll get slaughtered.  I think that's the biggest area of concern for our team.  Keep being ourselves and play our best game.

    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
    • I don't think Canales has any problem benching Bryce or moving on if Bryce doesn't come out playing like the end of last year.  It's year 3 no more excuses for Bryce
