So, I Found The Reporter That Tried To Start A Controversy With Cam

There was no "elaborate" comment, only the "back it up" comment. No one asked Cam to elaborate, this Sullivan guy changed the story when he wrote it to "elaborate".

Watch the damn video fool. Cam was specifically asked why he didn't want to elaborate, likely from Sullivan who says he's the one who asked that (and there's no reason at all to believe he's lying about that).

Yes - there was - listen to the press conference.  There is a clear question to elaborate and cam answered - then someone else said back it up.

So then who asked the original question?  Because to me, the voice that asked the question and the voice that asked to elaborate sounded the same.  But like I said earlier, the voice that said to back it up was different.  According to this guy's article, he is the one who asked the question and he is the one who asked him to elaborate.

I kind of see a bunch of something made here about nothing.

Some on twitter are saying the Original question was asked by Mitch Albom. Not sure about that..but ehhh

I did watch the video "fool". If I didn't hear something a reporter said because they're so quiet in those videos, that's another story.

You guys are taking what was said out of context, but I am not going to explain it to you. Needless to say that political correctness has been one of Cam's strong suits.

The reporter telling Cam that Cam "brought it up" (he didn't) and that he is required to "back it up" (he isn't) is being taken "out of context"?

I stopped watching those evening ESPN shows for years because they were insufferable. Then I found it on one day and Bomani Jones was on.

Love that guy. Totally makes that whole half anhour block tolerable if there's nothing else on.

ESPN gave him a radio show at 4 nationally and it's awesome. Fresh perspective, no bs. Bomani is good stuff

"Back it up" means to justify your words. "Elaborate" means to give more details. There's a difference. One implies there's something wrong with what was said, the other is a neutral request for more information. It's that simple.

You would think that these guys who inevitably defend journalists no matter what would be more educated and aware about the meaning and usage of, you know, WORDS.

    • If you need someone to run your multi-billion dollar business, maaayyyybe don't hire a guy whose previous work experience includes repeated blows to the head and literal brain damage but IDK.
    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
