Free agency not the draft will be the key this off season

Agree that any big FA money would be spent on Oline or a DE. He likes hog mollies and will probably built the rest through the draft or 2nd tier FA's.

Another thing to consider is how good our locker room chemistry is. A good way to wreck that is to bring in high priced FAs. The guys here want to get paid too.

Yeah, I think Gettleman's doing the job just right. Wouldn't change a thing with his approach. He's wiser at this than all of us combined. The answers were on the field last night, we just didn't put them together very well.

We were playing with fire this entire season having Ginn and Brown as our 1 and 2, it laughable. Cam is that transcendent that he can make those two seem capable and make Gettleman feel like a genius.

This is correct.  Gettleman likes to have at least the basic pieces in place so he can draft for value instead of need.

Jeffrey is looking for his first big deal, he isn't coming here cause GMan isn't going to give him big bucks.  A wr FA might be a vet that gets released, like Boldin.

Please remember this season was never supposed to be "The season it all comes together".  We were still in a cap crunch.  

 

Realistically, this upcoming season is the 1st team Gettleman has been allowed to spend money. I'm sure he will do it as wisely.

He franchised Hardy. He's probably going to franchise Norman. He game Cam and Luke healthy contracts. Find him a FA worth the money that fits the team, and he'll give them the contract.

I'm not asking to break the bank, I'm just tired of the scraping at the bottom of the barrel. Ginn, Cotchery, Avant those guys are 4th string receivers.
