BIg CB (6 feet, 207) with high character.  Would be a good fit here. Fairly sure he will make a few coins, however.   Has a bit of an injury history--weird injuries, not chronic knees etc.

The only way I see a signing like this is if we do not tag or sign Norman.  Norman will almost certainly be tagged.

Hmm, sounds sort of like a younger version of what we were getting with Peanut.

I do think there will be some good players who we can attract for cheap deals. If you remember in the 2013 offseason, Seattle signed Avril and Michael Bennett for very friendly deals. Avril signed a 2 year $13M deal and Bennett a 1 year $4.8M. Both of those players helped the Seahawks win a Super Bowl that season. I think we can get some great value deals on players like Robert Ayers, Weddle, and maybe Sean Smith on short term deals.

It does.  He seems to be a bit soft (reputation), but that could be due to his injuries.  If the GIants let him walk, I can bet that Gettlemen already knows their thinking...

bene's return at the same level of play is not a sure thing and tillman is almost certainly gone. whatever happens with josh we're in the market for at least one starting corner.

i'm very curious what gettles thinks of him talent-wise, but i wouldn't expect us to offer much.

    • I think he's gone, and rightfully so, if he turns in another losing record. The "talented roster," regardless of how true or not, is a double-edged sword. If the roster is so much improved now from 202X then why are you still producing losing seasons? On one hand, maybe that's what needs to happen. Have the GM hire the new coach, and then have the new coach pick his guy to run his system. That is typically how it works in the NFL. Not the forced inheritance deal we have had in place.
    • Hinging on Brooks to be our spark...be good if it happens... but not holding my breath....RB next draft. Morgan gambled...it would be a 2 year payoff if thing happened.
    • Only way Canales is fired is if we are attrocious everywhere....  defense /special teams and offense..  There are enough "questions" on if BY9 is the guy that ownership wouldn't fire the coach for "just" mid qb play.  Especially with as talented a roster that has played "well enough" to win some tough football games and hang in there against the top tier of the NFL ...(mostly).   Now total team suckage..yeah .. but I don't see that happening.
