Everything ive read about this guy says dan quinns system wasnt a good fit for him.  But isnt out system very similar?

Our coaches are better and have more continuity within our system than Atlanta's coaches. Also he is not being asked to start.  The mere fact that Atlanta will be paying him as much if not more than we will makes up any difference.

Don't they run a 3-4 system down there? Where as we run a 4-3? Wouldn't that make a significant difference for the job duties for a DT who is not a nose tackle? As a 3-4 DT wouldn't he have occasionally been lined up on the end depending on formation, where as a 4-3 DT will always be on the interior? Also, rotational vs starter will make a big difference on a 32 year old DT.

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
