So what does Gettleman do with this money?

With the freed up cap space, how does he spend?

There is a couple of Safety's on the market that may be serviceable and affordable. Walter Thurmond, Donte Whitner and Dashon Goldson.

Will Getlleman revive some players with new scenery much like he did Ted Ginn Jr.?

One name that looks like he could fit here is Henry Melton. You may remember him a few seasons ago, playing for Chicage and blowing up offense lines much like KK does now.

So what do you think? Are you expecting Gettleman to invest in the bargain bin again this year? He has been sticking to his formula of not overpaying, making the tough cuts, and then signing a vet that seems to have his best years behind him only to have a very respectable season here.

Here is where I got the list of free agents: http://nfltraderumors.co/top-25-2016-nfl-free-agents-list/

We don't have the money to spend like some of y'all think.  Short will conmand at least 15 million a year, Star probably anywhere from 7-10 a year.  All of a sudden that 35 million is now 10 million.  Then we still have to sign Turner and Norwell.

He's talking about this year. Star is still under contract for two years,  his number will not change. KK's will probably only change by a prorated amount of his signing bonus,  his base will likely stay the same with the extension starting in 2017. Of,  course Gettleman will probably roll some cap space forward but again,  Star's number probably won't change significantly until 2018.

Also,  are we sure about it being $35 million? Both Spotrac and Over the Cap,  show closer to $31 million.

What are the rules about rolling over cap space? That seems the most likely scenario given thatGettleman likes to draft then develop and retain players rather than sign them drone somewhere else. I'd like star Kk and Luke to stay on the same defense for the next four years more than anything else.

That's a lot. Didn't realize Kalil was in his final year. He could be done after this year,  that whole age vs cost thing. That will be interesting to watch.

He will plan on rolling some over to next season to have a safety net.

He will try to get KK signed to an extension.

He will sign the rookie draft class.

He will probably try to pick up players that will fall out after June 1 cuts are available.

He will keep a little extra on the side for injuries and bringing in players like we did with Finnegan late last season.

People also need to show the same love for Trai, Norwell, & Cam. That side of the ball is just as important.
