DeAngelo has been super salty since leaving Carolina, but perhaps not as salty as most Panthers fans have been.  Dude can't sneeze without three threads about it on the Huddle.

Well, when he is sneezing all over Twitter, he is fair game.

I'm just saying why let it bother you?  He's a backup RB on the wrong side of 30 who is acting like a bitter ex-girlfriend.  Who cares what he says?  I guarantee no one within the Panthers' organization does.  They're too busy going to Super Bowls and poo.

He's a professional football plauer, not a PR rep.  If you don't like what he says, simply unfollow him.  Seems dumb so many Panthers continue to follow him when it causes them so much continual butthurt.

@LinvilleGorge

You were just chomping at the bit waiting, for someone to quote you so you could go off on DWill. Admit it. You posted 3 times telling folks how silly this thread is. Why? Just to bad mouth him?

Why does it bother folks when there is a thread they don't care about? Why must they enter said thread, and tell other folks how silly they are for even being in said thread? Is there some sort of need to feel superior? I am better than you cuz I think this thread is goofy? Always amazes me when folks do that.

I have no problem with DeAngelo.  I still follow him and enjoy his hunting pics.

I just get tired of threads constantly bashing former Panthers.  There will be multiple Josh Norman threads every single week this coming season.

I totally agree but this isn't a case of that.

Deangelo was cut and for some reason didn't understand that RBs over 30 with big contracts get cut. He gets signed to a good team, has a good year and still says poo? He's fair game.

Not to mention he says dumb stuff about other guys.

Norman, Peppers, Moose, or Smitty are all fine in my book compared to passive aggressive D-Will.

I mean...   Still enjoying DWill tweets isn't that big of a deal..   (unless DWill is a fan of that big of a deal.. Haah...

However, ain't nobody in the wrong for continuing to call DWill out when all he has done is act a fool..

Maybe it would be (slightly) different if his own coach hasn't had to call him out..

I mean, no coach has ever called his own player out on twitter...   Or have they? (I don't know)

    • A winning record would be nice, but I still have us winning around the 6 to 8 game mark. Realistically we should beat the Jets and Saints, that gets us to 5 wins. After that, we have to face a lot of potential play off teams and our divisional opponents. I think we’ll win 1 or 2 of those games to take us to 6 or 7 wins, perhaps 8 wins if we can spring a further surprise.  Is that enough progress for head coach and QB? I’m not sure, it will depend on performances and output. That said, it’s nice to be back in a position where we are thinking about the play offs.
    • I would tend to agree about not falling into the trap and paying a below average QB, but sometimes situations can “force” a team to pay that QB. For example, if we play ourselves into a 9-8 like record, then what options will we have in the draft? Or do we avoid the draft and trade for or sign someone in free agency?  I’m not convinced by the 2026 QB draft class. There’s some intriguing prospects but no one that really screams “draft me”. I’m not sure we’ve got anyone really that stands out as a trade candidate or free agent signing. So although we might not want to commit a big money contract to Young, him playing well and showing progress might force the team’s hand.
    • Realistically we would be looking at no more than a mid round pick for Dowdle or Chuba. Are we really that desperate for a mid round pick? Not really. I would much prefer us utilise the two RBs in a 1-2 punch similar to how we used D-Will and Stewart. After all, Bryce is not Drew Brees. He won’t throw for 300+ yards and carry the team consistently as a passer. So having a strong running game with a 1-2 punch will be beneficial to him, and it will also be beneficial to the RBs because we can spell them and not overwork them.
