Kony is turned loose.

Not to thread jack, but by the same token, Delaire does, too.  Getts believes in patience, and developing players.  Just because they've played in high school and college doesn't mean they've stopped learning.  We as fans miss that important point.  You can generate talent at the position without drafting or FA signing big name players.  With this rotation, we can build our DEs.  You take what the draft and FA gives you, then you trust your coaches will do their jobs and you draft accordingly.

When Rivera stops telling us how he does not fully trust Kony, and Kony plays in more than 95% of the defensive snaps, then we can call him the next Josh Norman.

Until then he is streaky and unreliable.

No DE plays 95% of the snaps. 60% is almost too much. Teams prefer 50%.

Hm, sounds like CJ and Hardy in their 2nd year, or any young DE for that matter

We all saw kony in the super bowl.

Now watch this season, he has an elite DT rotation and if he can play anywere close to his potential you have this years josh norman.

Our DEs had elite DT play all last year.....and for the overwhelming majority of the year the DEs didn't look great.

We need more than hoping Ealy can be close to what he was in 1 game

There is this thing called player development. Josh Norman was even more inconsistent than Ealy before last season.

Completely different situation, the transition from college to pros as corner is WAY more difficult than a pass rusher.

Norman was a 5th round pick, with not a lot expectations who didn't get a lot snaps. Ealy was a 2nd round pick who was praised coming out of college. Ealy also saw a ton snaps his first two seasons. And really hasn't shown consistency
