Brown's previously unreported procedure is arguably the biggest setback among the group. The Panthers will keep at most six receivers on their final 53-man roster. Kelvin Benjamin, Devin Funchess and Ted Ginn Jr. are locks. That leaves Brown in a bunch that includes Brenton Bersin, Stephen Hill, Kevin Norwoodand undrafted free agent Keyarris Garrett.

The thing about Philly, if we let him walk and Ted gets hurt, we have no speed to blow the top off.

Never understood this obsession with Philly's speed.  I've never been blown away with his speed.  He looks quicker than fast to me.  Ginn would blow his doors off in a foot race.

brown and garrett get roster spots imo, unless garrett just sucks butt in camp.

not really a big win or loss for the WR6 spot no matter how it shakes out, though bersin seems to be the best candidate by a good bit based on performance.

ran a 4.51 at the combine. Not great for a guy his size.

When was last Philly left a DB in dust? Just completely blew by him?

Philly isn't really a deep threat,

He was fast in comparison to the rest of our glacial 2014 WR group so I think it comes from that but he isn't anywhere near fast for an NFL WR.

There were some big plays against Houston, GB, Arizona and Tampa Bay and one in the Super Bowl. I'm not saying he's a great deep threat, just the best one besides Ginn that I'm aware of,

Stephen Hill

I've never seen Hill play but if you're excited about him that's encouraging.

    • Any idea what happened to him at LSU? im reading that he was considered a 1st round pick in 2023, had an off 2024 season with only 4 sacks but was also on a horrible FSU team then went to LSU where he was supposed to be on an aggressive defense that should have given him a lot of sacks but he only ended up with one….   was he injured? Did the top SEC competition expose him? What happened? Cause this guy was considered a top prospect .
    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
