Gettleman didn't speak for 'Skins on Norman, but he said nothing, but said enough.

i hate Cam

You mean the MVP of the NFL and a player who has already broken almost every record in franchise history at quarterback? Or better yet a guy who is breaking all time NFL quarterback records and still not in his 30s? Hmmm....where is the hate at?

I'm glad you feel that way.

Usually, people in NC claim that "NC is the real Carolina" as if SC doesn't exist. LOL!

My family is from all over NC and SC. My mother's people are from SC and my father's people are from NC. We used to be one single area instead of NC/SC it was just Carolina.

i responded to that with "at your klan meeting maybe" and it was instantly deleted

i'll never understand PFT's moderation rules.

You have to know the secret handshake to talk about klan meetings publicly.

F'in auto correct want to capitalize klan.

I thin all he meant by it is "they have a different philosophy as to where to spend, best of luck to them."

I think he would have liked to have kept Josh, but if he had to choose between Josh and KK...

(plus, if Ealy has a monster season dot dot dot implications etc.)

PFT comment section in a nutshell:

Quote

Cam showed his true colors in last year’s SB when he choked in the biggest game of his life. His teammates will not respect a guy who won’t even go after his own fumble with the entire season on the line. He has lost the locker room. The Panthers will need to come up with another guy to lead the team, but this will cause Cam to whine and pout as he needs to be the center of attention. Quite a conundrum he has created in Carolina. The Panthers won’t even win the NFC South this season.

PFT always has and always will stand for Pulled From Turd.

but yeah....Gettleman knew what he was saying and it was his version of "bless their hearts."

one of the reasons a snyder run redskins will always be mediocre at best is because he's never learned that throwing money/draft picks at the player with the most hype makes your team unbalanced.

that's not to say you shouldn't spend big money from time to time, but you need to always keep the big picture in mind and the effects that decision will have on your ability to farm a good team.

what i love about the decision to walk away from norman (well, his asshat agent) was gettleman needed to send a clear message to agents (and players) that he's not afraid to say no and move on and that he's not going to play games that agents are used to playing. agents (and players alike) are going to know that gettleman values team above players and while that may rub some fans and free agents the wrong way, for those on the team already that has to feel good.

    • did a great job getting us out of cap hell. also did nothing to make the team better once we had a roster good enough to compete for a super bowl for a hawwwg mawlie enthusiast using first round picks on shaq and vernon butler which were luxury picks while strutting out the likes of nate chandler, byron bell, matt kalil, mike remmers to protect your franchise QB was malpractice. and then of course the norman fiasco and drafting kelvin benjamin over davante adams, jarvis landry and allen robinson and doubling down on devin funchess the next year. for a guy that "came from scouting" it was crazy how he drafted 2 tall unpolished receivers simply because Cam "threw high" I remember him and Rivera thinking Byron Bell would be a better left tackle than right tackle because he was left handed lol
    • Beane took over in 2018 after Josh Allen was drafted. He's drafted 2 Pro Bowlers his entire tenure. James Cook and Dawson Knox The Bills had a generational QB fall into their lap and have wasted his prime much like we did with Cam. Alot of parallels and it's even funnier when they've had so many of our former players and built their front office around our old employees
