Joique Bell anyone?

I personally feel RB has the most questionable depth for us going into this season. I have the pleasure of watching the poo lions because I live in Michigan, and last year was not a representation of his ability, the oline was horrendous. When the oline came to play in 2014 he reminded me a lot of J Stew. He's only entering his 5th season, and he himself has made note that 3 teams have offers on the table for his services, and I wonder if we are one of them. Would you be objective to this small but could be crucial move, considering Stewarts injury history? Or are you more confident in Tolbert and CAP handling the duties if an injury (knock on wood) were to occur?

For those that haven't seen much of him, he does have some punch to his runs and decent speed.

Might be the only one here that isn't confident. Tolbert has great intangibles, and is great in a short yardage pinch. Beyond that, I don't have a ton of confidence in our run game if (hypothetically) Stew were out. In the only regular season game we lost last year, CAP was the leading rusher.

I'd be fine with bringing him in, if the price is right. It would be silly not to give him a shot if he's cheap. Just pick the best in camp.

I like him, but we've got enough competition in the RB group already. There are teams out there that could put him right into rotation, though.

Me, I just couldn't see letting one of our guys go for him. No slam on Joique, but I like who we have right now.

He's still unsigned.

There's probably a reason for that.

If he has three offers on the table as he claims he does then that reason is because he doesn't want to sign, not because no one wants him. To your point though, I'll agree that it could be because no one thinks he's worth what he thinks he's worth.

    • Rags lost again. All is right in the hockey world.
    • He’s responsible for two drafts classes. The first was one of the worst drafts I’ve ever seem. The second one is showing a ton of promise. I’m somewhere between skeptical and hopeful on Morgan.
    • I'm a big fan of Dan. His ability to find productive players deep in the draft will pay off.  I'm going to give him 1.5 draft classes right now, because I do think it's a little unfair to evaluate his first year when he got the job in January, especially when we went into that draft not having a first round pick.  XL and Brooks are still big time TBD players. Both still have incredibly high ceilings, but both have also given us legitimate reasons to have a lot of pause. Trevin Wallace, Chau Smith Wade and Jatavion Sanders have IMO outplayed their draft position early in their careers. That's a great thing. He also got Coker and Demani Richardson as UDFAs that year. Given the situation we were in, I really don't mind the gamble on the high ceiling guys. Still may work out, still may not, but if you made a checklist of ideal situation for an NFL GM to walk into, ours was near the bottom of that list.  Every single 2025 pick is contributing in some way. That typically doesn't happen. I am absolutely blown away by this draft class 6 games in. Even the best GM's miss on occasion, and we can't expect Dan to be 100% on drafts moving forward. Ryan Fitzgerald was an excellent find as well.  Comparing our last two drafts to the previous few is pretty shocking. Can you imagine this season without our Rookies? It would not be good. Additionally, this roster only has 6 players with more than 6 years of experience, and two of those are specialist.  The next step is equally important, and still very much TBD. We have to avoid Cap Chaos.
