Anyone my age (40) who bitches about participation trophies is full of poo. If anyone remembers childhood from the late 70s/early 80s everyone had racks of participation trophies from soccer, Basketball, baseball, swimming. Highschool letter jackets are participation trophies. What we really worked for was the gold medals, etc

there are so many crap articles written about that.  are there really comprehensive studies lying around about it?  has the stanford psychology department done an exhaustive ten year study on five thousand millenials and established that yes, participation trophies are strongly correlated with being a whiny pussy?

because i'm 29 and i along with everyone else i knew growing up chucked those plastic pieces of poo in our closets without a second thought and fired up mortal kombat II once we got home from the YMCA

Millenials are whiney pussies because their parents, of which some are my friends, shelter and spoil the ever loving poo out of them. They don't go ride bikes and skateboards and burn poo in the woods  but play video games and don't leave the house and aren't expected to do do anything.

Old man rant over.

you're judging an entire generation of people based on your sample set of what, a dozen? 20? scientific method in action.

This isn't science. It's a fuging fact that kids don't go outside and fug poo up all day long anymore. They all play video games.  Every single last one of them.

Just let your friend or the stupid guy go first when it was really hot outside....the water left in the hose used to get really hot in the summer so the first little bit would burn the fug out of someone. We used to climb trees too and throw rocks at bee farms.

    • Rags lost again. All is right in the hockey world.
    • He’s responsible for two drafts classes. The first was one of the worst drafts I’ve ever seem. The second one is showing a ton of promise. I’m somewhere between skeptical and hopeful on Morgan.
    • I'm a big fan of Dan. His ability to find productive players deep in the draft will pay off.  I'm going to give him 1.5 draft classes right now, because I do think it's a little unfair to evaluate his first year when he got the job in January, especially when we went into that draft not having a first round pick.  XL and Brooks are still big time TBD players. Both still have incredibly high ceilings, but both have also given us legitimate reasons to have a lot of pause. Trevin Wallace, Chau Smith Wade and Jatavion Sanders have IMO outplayed their draft position early in their careers. That's a great thing. He also got Coker and Demani Richardson as UDFAs that year. Given the situation we were in, I really don't mind the gamble on the high ceiling guys. Still may work out, still may not, but if you made a checklist of ideal situation for an NFL GM to walk into, ours was near the bottom of that list.  Every single 2025 pick is contributing in some way. That typically doesn't happen. I am absolutely blown away by this draft class 6 games in. Even the best GM's miss on occasion, and we can't expect Dan to be 100% on drafts moving forward. Ryan Fitzgerald was an excellent find as well.  Comparing our last two drafts to the previous few is pretty shocking. Can you imagine this season without our Rookies? It would not be good. Additionally, this roster only has 6 players with more than 6 years of experience, and two of those are specialist.  The next step is equally important, and still very much TBD. We have to avoid Cap Chaos.
