Whats Up Huddle

I hope you guys and gals have been enjoying Training Camp. Due too me having to work till late on Friday and living in VA, I cannot go to fan fest. I was fortunate to pounce on some pretty Damn good seats, and I'm really bummed I cant go. I've decided to have some fun with Giving them away. If you want these Tix, this is what I want you to do:

1) Pie This Post

Yes, I am being a douche asking for some pie.

2) Name a player on our squad who You think is going to breakout. That, or who do you think is a surprise cut?

Don't have to go into huge detail     couple sentences why. Huge paragraphs are welcome but do not help your chances.

3) Tell the Huddle how you came across the Huddle

How did you learn about the existence of the Huddle? What made you want to post?

4) Have at least 100 posts.

Help the joint out.. Its my understanding this place keeps running due to add revenue.  At 6:00pm est on Wednesday, if you have 100 posts or more you will be added into the hat for the random drawing if you have done the top 3 steps. You don't necessarily need 100 posts at the time you respond to this post. If you need to up your post count, you have till that deadline to get active on the Huddle and give you opinions, gaffs, or goofs. If you're a lurker, sign the fug up and participate. Even if you don't win dealing and interacting with these nuckle heads is uh.... rewarding?

If all of these are done, I will write your name down on a piece of paper and throw it into a bucket or something. You have my word and I swear on my life and all of my panther fandom might that I will be honest about it. Yeah, I'm being a grease ball about some pie... but hey, Its like letting a high price FA walk out the door. Ya dont want that, you want at least a Lil bit of compensation. These seats are the fuging bomb dude..

Even if you got tix already, participate. If you win, give away your old seats and be up and see first hand what is known as Zod and the 2015 NFC champs

And if you sell these tickets I will find out.. and I will _________________

I will e-mail the tix to the winner.

My biggest breakout candidate is Cameron Artis Payne. Stewart works best with some platooning and the coaching staff will want to keep him fresh as the season goes along, and I think CAP will be ready to take the next step and provide more than expected big plays and will show a nice receiving flair.

I discovered the Huddle during the 2008 season while looking for a good place to rant on why I thought the Panthers were a Super Bowl bound team that season. I even went to the Huddle tailgate, discovered "turds" for the first time and beat got my ass beat in Madden by Alvarez (I think?) This place as been an absolute time suck since then, as evidenced by our little online poll adventures and my post count ;)

I came across the huddle in 2008 as well. That season I thought we were destined and I had to go somewhere after that damn playoff lost.

Anywho, my breakout player is Devin Funchess. Last year, I felt like he could have done more given the opportunity. Each time he was on the field he got a lot of targets from Cam and made some big plays. I see this being a big season for him with added experience and better knowledge of the playbook.

I think the breakout player will be Kony Ealy. I think the super bowl is just a preview of what is coming.

I came across the huddle in 2005. It was called panthers huddle then, but the panthers shut that down somewhere in the mid 2000-2010. I had about 4,000 posts when the great crash took place and then had to start again. I "remember Arizona" and also remember Clay J's exit. I'll never forget the board completely melting down after the Arizona game and then again in 2009 against the Eagles in week one.

Breakout player of the year: Daryl Williams.  He wins the RT starting position in the preseason and plays at a probowl caliber level all season.  Mike Remmers becomes our utility back-up and can play any position on the line, including center.

I have no freaking clue how I started on the huddle.  It has been so long.....  I feel like it has just always been here. Just looked back at my post history and I guess I joined up to talk poo to Seahawks fans before our game 3 years ago.  Could have sworn I was here before that.

*On a side note, the tickets would go to my 6 year old son who is staying with my grandparents this summer in Charlotte. And lets not forget, it was me and you who made the Panthers black on black the Greatest Uniform of All-Time!

I used to visit the Observer's Panthers board a lot, before they started requiring subscriptions to participate, so I faded away for a few years. Then Gettleman was hired to replace the previous trainwreck, and I got here after Googling Panther message boards. A few months later Dameshek got uppity, and the rest is history.

Considering Ealy will be better and Little Money shouldn't be hamstrung this year, our sack total's gonna climb. Along with rookie CBs that will be out of position, signs point to Tre Boston having a break-out year. His tackle and INT numbers about to blow up

My breakout player is Shaq Thompson.  He has the drive and the talent to be one of the best linebackers in the league.  Our linebackers are, by far, the most talented group in the NFL.

I came across this place a loooong time ago.  At the time it was called Panthers Huddle and at some point the team made Jeremy change the name.  It was a small community back then.  A lot has changed over the years. Some changes were good some not, but it's always entertaining.

My grandson and I would be happy to go if chosen.  I promise they won't get sold.

Breakout Player - Shaq Thompson. He's learning from the best and with his speed and last year's experience he's ready to go to the next level.

I learned about the Huddle on accident really. Was tired of the lack of good reporting from the large sports sites and their shallow analysis of our team. Just kept searching the interwebs until I stumbled across this place. It's been awesome and have met some good friends in real life as well.

My breakout player for the upcoming season is going to be James Bradberry the corner from Samford. I don't think many will expect much from him but I expect him to outperform the expectations. I found the huddle after searching the web several years ago looking for a Carolina Panthers message board to communicate with other team fanatics like myself. It has worked out great and I have really enjoyed my time here thus far. Go Cats!

    • Oh, the high expectations after a draft. Keep your expectations low, people. Darin Gantt's latest "Ask The Old Guy" gives life to one of those lessons about pro football reality as a fan: "Rasheed Walker was a three-year starter at left tackle for the Packers, so Freeling is going to have to work. Hunter's got another big 'un in front of him in Bobby Brown III and a different kind of defensive tackle in Tershawn Wharton. Chris Brazzell II's got a lot of traffic at his position. Zakee Wheatley has to be better than the chronically underappreciated Nick Scott, and Sam Hecht is a fifth-round rookie at the hardest position on the line to play, who probably doesn't have immediate positional flexibility, and a solid free agent addition in Luke Fortner in front of him. "Fans generally love their draft class as soon as it arrives, because there is no evidence to the contrary yet. Once guys get on the field, the reality begins to creep in, and the seasoned among you remember that if you get three or four good players out of a draft, that was an amazing draft." https://www.panthers.com/news/ask-the-old-guy-things-looking-up-after-the-draft-monroe-freeling-luke-kuechly-bryce-young-derrick-brown Don't get crazy. Winning the draft (or the offseason BTW) on paper always leads to good feelings and great expectations, especially when you seemingly succeeded the season before, but let's remember that the Panthers are very much a work in progress. Team building takes time. If we get a couple of starters out of the draft, it's a good draft, but three or four would be an amazing draft, and anything more than that is actually sensational--even if entails a few multiple high end rotational players along with three starters. Moreover, kind of within that same vein, the coaches have to let the kids off the chain. Remember the coach-speak of past coaches about competition that is anything but because coaches have their notions about veteran experience? Not saying that they're necessarily wrong, but sometimes I think their reluctance to put the young guys out there is based somewhat in dogma or possibly fear because big stakes are on the line (e.g., their jobs). It can be frustrating to say the least, but the coaches are supposed to know best. Again, I say all of this so that we can remember to temper expectations and keep them within the realm of reality. It's like telling your mind to think of it as something akin to under-promising and over-delivering. Leave room to be pleasantly surprised for the best case scenario, but be cognizant that that rarely happens. I would think at this point, most of us should be able to recognize growth when we see it, and sometimes that growth doesn't manifest itself in the form of immediate supremacy, but a setting of the stage for long term dominance for years to come. It seems like we're on track for an emergence by 2028 or 2029. We still have huge questions, but by 2029, hopefully we will take our seat at the table of the perennial contenders in the NFL.
    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
