There will be football played this Sunday

The NFL's annual Hall of Fame Game is this Sunday at 8pm and will feature the Packers and the Colts.

Four days after that, at 7:30pm, the Panthers kick off against the Ravens.

Yes, it's preseason, but it's football...

...and it's almost here.

In on shameless pie thread.

the panthers have the best fans in the league, keep pounding.

Shameless pie thread? Me?

Nah. I'm just unable (maybe unwilling) to keep a lid on my excitement because I know NFL football is just six days away, and Panthers football is only ten days away.

Basically, I'm an eight year old kid in mid-December.

(and I suspect I'm one of many)

Can I say one thing; our preseason games have been much more entertaining to watch of late because DA and Webb are actually competent backups. I remember Webb's comeback wins as being a lot of fun.

Both have started games which can't be very common. It's great for young offensive players in the preseason as the guys running the offense are very competent. It has to be so much better for getting reps and showing abilities when it's not some schmoe out there trying to run things.

I like watching preseason games. Gives me something to discuss, err argue about. Also gives me a heads-up on possible rooks that will have fantasy implications.

A few years back when we played the Eagles, D-Jax made an impression. He then went on to have a solid fantasy outing for a rook.

I'm mostly interested in seeing our guys put in their bids for a roster spot though.
