PFF: Cam rated higher than Jimmy G and Brady. Because our receivers can't catch a cold.

Top offensive grades:

G Trai Turner, 79.2

FB Mike Tolbert, 79.0

QB Joe Webb, 78.7

TE Marcus Lucas, 77.5

QB Cam Newton 77.3

This was a rough game for Newton, who was off-target early and ended with two interceptions, although neither throw was egregious. But across 46 snaps, there was more positive about his play than negative, which unfortunately isn’t reflected in box score due to the play of his receivers. Carolina’s pass-catchers dropped five of Newton’s passes (eight for the game), including multiple drops from Ted Ginn Jr. All five of those plays would have resulted in either a first down or touchdown.

And the teammate Cam is, he took it upon himself post-game when questioned by the media.

Even after his coaches benched him in the middle of a game and then put him back in.  I've never been more shocked by Rivera and Shula than last night.  That was a farce.  If you're gonna pull him, pull him.  If you're not satisfied with his performance, bench him.  There's no need to attempt to embarrass him.

If I remember right and thats a big "IF".. I think Cam initially sucks in preseason!! Nothing too worry about..He seemed pretty amped which can make him off for a bit.. But then it doesn't help the receiver drops a 5 - 10 yard pass that is in their hands especially after Cam ran his ass off from getting a sack..to only have the receiver have stone hands..goes both ways.. receivers need to help..no worries on Cam here

Ron said it was planned, they put in Daryl Williams in at LT and CAP at RB, they wanted to make sure Cam wouldn't get blown up after those changes.

Gettleman likes him some dropped balls. As long as the receivers dropping those balls are big freaks of nature who typically have a short career.

I have never put anyone on ignore here. But dammit, your shtick is just really getting old. So welcome to the ignore list. Don't bother to reply because I will not be able to read it.

Well that's good to hear.

Cuz looking at it without the inside knowledge made me question their goddam sanity.

Two things to take away from the game last night.

1. The Patriots secondary is better than people give them credit for.

2. Our offense was very watered down from what we will do in the regular season. (Ex: Design runs for Cam near the goaline, Stew running the ball, more read option, Greg Olsen's presence, etc)

    • If we get to 4-3 do we make a sneaky trade?
    • Corbett should move back to guard if anything while being the backup for BC and Lewis. Cade needs to stay at center. That much has been obvious since last year.  Coker needs to be fast tracked to the lineup, preferably starting over XL.  The problem comes with Chubba, JT and Turk... 3 starters that the backups have arguably outperformed. I like JT's ball skills but I'm quickly becoming an Evans fan. Hopefully JT coming back will only affect James Mitchell. Idunno but Rico should be untouchable at the moment...he's on OPTY/MVP pace and Turk should NEVER be utilized as a NT again.
    • Looking at the TE situation, does Sanders get on the field if he can't block to the level of TT and ME?  I am 100% on board with Sanders getting Wally Pipped on this one.  We have plenty of WR's, I don't see what huge advantage he gives us over TT or ME, or even James Mitchel at this point.  Canales said when he was hired that the TE was a huge part of his offense.  The blocking displayed by the TE room Sunday was exactly what he meant. I also think the WR rotation ends up being....  TMAC, Coaker, Brycen, XL, Horn, Renfrow.  XL needs to learn to run routes, block his ass off, and be dependable if he wants to get opportunities going forward.  He's about to lose the Trust of BY.  Looking at the top 3 Wr's, I easily see JHJr passing him on the depth chart.  My money is on Renfrow being inactive most games going forward.
