Why we win

Recommended Posts

Almost 8Months later and I still can't seem to shake that gut wrenching feeling. Maybe its our mediocre history or the fact we still haven't been able to put back to back winning seasons together. But anywho that's not what this is about this thread is about positivity. Help me shake this feeling that we are in for more of the same Thursday night.

It's simple, tell me WHY we WIN Thursday night! What will be different?

I'll start...CAM NEWTON...his indomitable will to win and hate for losing. He has been berated and drug through the mud for a solid 8 Months now. If you think it doesn't get under his skin, I think you are gravely mistaken. I keep telling myself his utter disdain for losing will not allow him to falter Thursday night. I think he's tired of hearing all the bs and I think he some how, some way, finds a way to get the job done and wills us to victory. He knows the opportunity we let slip through our fingers and I don't see it happening again.

If you are a negative Nancy or a troll simply see yourself out now and dont waste your keystrokes, you will be ignored.

Positive vibes bruhs

Agree with what you wrote about Cam....

But also, We Win because Andy Lee will pin them deep on numerous punts and our D will force turnovers deep in Denver territory.

All that talk of overpaying by giving Cleveland a 4th for Lee will become moot - Lee will be the new Huddle Hero.

I'm watching right now too. Basically if we catch a few balls and don't fumble we will be golden. We don't even have to play mistake free. I think there will be some jitters and some overthrows, etc. Probably a few penalties. But once we settle in, the game is over. Somebody turn off the lights on their way out of the stadium. Bitches.

    • Anybody got a clue what this is supposed to mean? 🤔
    • I figured as much. Hopefully he's just resting up and will be ready for round 3 (if we make it that far.)  Sucks to see. Hes been our best defender (besides Slavin) in the playoffs so far.
    • I've never bought into the idea. There's just too much at stake, even for front office people. Jobs are lost, trust is lessened, lives are altered, reputations are damaged and more. Throw in that the average front office person isn't as young as the average player. They may not have ten years ahead of them to salvage their careers. Any given year could be their last. The only person not guaranteed to suffer some direct form of consequence from losing is the owner, and even there you still have problems (fan reaction, team reputation, revenue, etc). You've also got massive egos in play on that front so it can get personal. Mind you, I do accept that there are "fire sales" in order to build for the future, but even those have consequences. They don't exactly guarantee success either. Poorly run teams often just wind up in the same circumstance a few years down the road. Sorry gus, but my tinfoil hat just hasn't fit me for quite a while.
